If anyone at the club is reading this, can I suggest that it would be good to encourage people to have cards by offering at least a 24 hour window to buy tickets before General sales.
Also I wonder if taking an empty shop in Whitefriargate on a short term trial to promote sales, sell tickets to cash purchasers etc might be worth a gamble in the spirit of doing something to try to get supporters back in the face of current adversity?

I thought similar for the Derby cup game tickets
Why on earth they don't give people a window (time wise, not glazed!) when they can buy the seat they normally sit in for a cup game before it goes on general sale?
We're creatures of habit, we like seeing the same people (and if we didn't we'd have moved or 'encouraged' them to move!) and so like sitting in the same place.

Not that would have been any help for me as they aren't even opening the North stand, but either way I think allowing early sales to pass holders would encourage more of them to buy tickets...and I think that if you find out your normal seat isn't available as it has been bought by someone else before you even got a chance then it would actually discourage you to buy a ticket

...then again I am not a marketing genius

I'm a bit confused by this, there's no shortage of tickets, why would giving card holders a 24 hour window to buy tickets provide any benefit?

Also, there's a club shop about 300 yards from Whitefriargate, they're hardly likely to open another. :emoticon-0112-wonde

The OP mentions nothing about cup games, just about offering people with match cards a 24 hour window to buy tickets before general sale.

Traditionally, cup games do have a window to secure your regular seats, but as this game has the two busiest stands closed, it's somewhat academic.

It is not an issue about shortages but about getting the seats you want especially when needing more than one seat. I think that there is more passing footfall even in Whitefriargate than in the location of current shop. Also I was talking about matchday cardholders who have to choose and buy for each league game they attend and can buy for linked cardholders at the same time.

Are tickets cheaper if you have a Matchday card ? (or to put it another way , more expensive if you don't)

The whole thing didn't seem well publicised to me

League games cheaper with a matchday card but only if you go to enough games over the course of the season as he card itself has an upfront cost.

League tickets are £3 cheaper in all zones. Card costs £12 but you get £6 credit back to spend in club shop.

At the moment, you could need 2.000 tickets and still be able to all sit together. <laugh>

They're obviously not going to open a shop 300 yards from the existing shop, particularly on one of the worst shopping streets in Hull. Not that it really matters, the useless bastards can't even manage to sell tickets from the existing shop, the ticket machine's been bust for weeks.

Understand your point, but I’ve just gone in to buy our usual seats in East and only a dozen or so had been sold already. I suggest there is no problem whatsoever for people to get their preferred seat.

Mind you, no option to load onto our “member” cards as it suggests, the only drop down options were eticket or paper

For the Blackburn match mine loaded onto matchday card and entry to ground was smooth. From memory I selected an option which I think was called access card. Wish you better luck next time.
