Definitely hinted at it, but kept saying he needs time to think about things , so he will calm down after his morning porridge
Somebody on the bridge on the way out said to their relative, “Why didn’t Adkins change it at half time?” The reply being, “Change it with what?”
Adkins should walk. Obviously the owners dont give a f**k. If he stays its only to line his back pocket. A team of players ,half of whom would be unable to get a team place anywhere else . Not rocket science to see any incoming loan signings must be in a desperate situation to sign for us and would only ever do so as a last resort. Allams out . Absolute bastards.
I get the impression that some of the players aren’t ones he wanted but just ones that were available.
I didn't see any in front of the West Stand, a steward had to retrieve the ball when we were chasing the game.
And there lies the point .. you can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear .. the Allams have raped and pillaged this club to the point where we are now .. substandard football .. inexperienced players .. and a squad that just isn't equipped for this. Adkins does need to walk tbh .. how on earth can he be expected to work under these circumstances.
There were two in front of each stand. When the ball went out in the south west, a steward got it and somebody said “where’s the ball boys?”. Had a check and they were all there - strangely in big coats during the sunshine of th second half.
Milinkovic looks like he’s never seen a football before let alone kicked one. There are no positives to take out of the game today.
I don’t blame Adkins and I don’t blame the limited players he has. The blame lies higher up. Kane and Lichaj have been good signings. The centre backs need to pull their act together but there are decent partnerships there (even if they currently won’t tackle!). Bowen has been left stranded out on the side. May as well try him up front.
When asked if his job felt under threat he said something along the lines that he was the one he decided what would happen to him. Gave the impression to me that hewouldn't rule out walking if he didn't get some support.
Really got little sympathy for Adkins. He must have come into this with his eyes open. If not he was very foolish. He is the one who accepts this situation or not. At the moment he looks like someone who is just there because he desperately needed work. He is getting pushed around by the Allams and looks a right patsy. His positivity no longer cuts the ice for me. He needs to grow a giant pair right now and get five players in very fast. We need a leader on the pitch with a bit of bite and a proven goal scorer. If he doesn’t get his four or five in now he might as well pack it in. Is he to blame ? No, the blame only lies in one place. Did we expect anything else this season. No. The great sadness, if the reports are true, is the East Stand being nearly empty. Heart breaking from the vibrant place it was to watch football before these two clowns got to work.
