What can be done though. The loan window shutting, an embargo for the next window. Doesn't look pretty. The squad needs investment..Yes it needs money to be spent.

Ingram is terrible. Doesn't help having a keeper that heaps pressure on you with every goalkick.

    I went,
    fantastic support...
    Kakay, Freeman & Eze ok
    I don’t live in Birmingham
Rolling Stones tribute band at Half Moon in Putney was fantastic last night
    end of positives
    Played ok in first half
Smith is pointless and useless - in the team for one reason and he won zero headers & adds nothing other than that
Take Eze off for Washington????. Most creative player off, useless twat who didn’t touch the ball, can’t score, only contribution being offside twice....pointless
Second half embarrassing & decided to enjoy the 1970’s style town centre at 1-4....
    Absolutely shocking
    Oh well,

Having such a young squad this result and start to the season will be difficult for them to recover from. Tuesday's game is a huge one and one in which they need to get something from, a point would be a great result.

From what I have witnessed, not just this season but last aswell is poor running of the club, poor management, poor tactics, poor selection, poor players and piss poor results. Let's be brutally honest Eze has got talent but I dare say limited, the other kids are pretty average. Luongo is one of the most overrated players (by some fans) that I can think of. Smith is just a big fat lad who would be better suited to Sunday league. Scowen can run and tackle and maybe pass to someone who can't do much more with it then he possibly could. We have a pretty ****e team made worse by the departures. 7-1 should be a premier league team vs a conference team score! Not two teams at the same level!

What ever makes you think McLaren ( or to be honest any manager) will walk...do you know how much money is involved...
    Would you walk?

    Don't be stupid.
We are stuck with him until we sack him

Agree with all that mate, although I would just say that I do believe Eze to be the real deal. However, his confidence is bound to drop surrounded by such dross.

"McClaren responded by bringing on Conor Washington in the 58th minute, at the expense of Eze."

From the official site at 3-1.

Perhaps we need to sit tight until November when Cardiff sack Warnock...?

Well bringing in an extra midfielder at the expense of some pace out wide really worked well.....

At a loss as to where we go from here but Tuesday becomes a must not lose game...

Smith is good to bring on with 10mins to go if all else fails. Not a player to start a game.

Expected a heavy loss tbh, but not this heavy. Not surprised we got battered after Onuoha, Robinson and Smithies have all gone. Not looking good. SM urgently needs to get a confidence boosting league win. Got to be honest and say that on paper we don’t have enough experience or quality in the team/squad. I respect the club for blooding youngsters and giving them a go, this will certainly make or break them, but we desperately need some quality up top and at the back.

    I was there.
    100% correct on Smith. Pointless
    Washington - pointless
Eze - agree, quite good but in limited team
    Freeman - see above
No pace or guile up front
Gave away 3/4 goals trying (ambitiously but encouragingly) to play out of defence. No problem with the concept but doesn’t work when your CF is a big lump who can’t win headers....& we don’t have the players to play that system
Most urgent loan signing is a forward of any sort.....WBA had rodriguez & Gayle today...??!!

Don’t worry, Sutfol. Many on here pointed to his superior win ratio over Ollie when he was appointed, so golden times are just around the corner, apparently.

Mmm..............I was one of those who wanted him over Ollie. However, the situation we're rapidly finding ourselves in is crying out for Ollie's fight and love of the shirt.
    We could well be ****ed!
