We'll see how you feel when we break from defence... hoof the ball up to Shola, who falls over while trying to scuff a pass to an offside Lovenkrands.

Can't believe some people are being positive about this sh*tty window. Without a decent striker the ball will keep coming back to us none stop. Expect a lot of draws and lossses as it's impossible to win games without scoring.

£600k (net) well spent Ashley, you should be proud of yourself.

The only good thing about the window at NUFC is that the bloke turned up on time yesterday and gave it a damn good clean. You can see right through it now. Well, most of us can anyway.

True, but this should have been sorted long before deadline day.

Our midfield is good, our attack is not, our defence is thin. Premier League football is a squad game and ours simply isn't good enough. We needed at least two more players and Pardew admitted this.

    We've been ****ed again.

    Nolan 14 goals a season
    Barton 3 goals

ben arfa 3 goals a season
    cabaye 4 goals a season
    Obertan 1 goal
    Santon 1 goal max
    Ba 6 goals
    Marveaux 2 goals

What pisses me off the most is that even a fat twat like ashley will know how important it is to us that we have someone capable of that No9 shirt, he couldn't even do that the prick! We have made some good signings this window, all talanted players, but they are merely replacing the big players we let go in the summer. We still NEED a striker who is capable of filling the no9 shirt, and i dont think it's Demba. What's more, fat boy has done all this while making a tidy profit for the club(himself!), exploiting the fans and feeding them bullshit. Agreed that we do have a decent side, but after last seaon we have to make progress, and ashley seems happy to tread water and risk the premiership status of this club. I will always follow my team regardless, it's not the fans or the players fault if the club is run by bellends, just hope we keep this run we're on going for a bit and i'lll keep praying that cashley get's bored, sells up and ****s off!!!!!

<ok> This, although to be fair Ameobi spends most of his life offside to.

I think Best and Ba are ok. It's just will they be enough? The answer is probably no.

While every other aspect of the transfers I could agree with and in the round our squad is better than last season (although I would have kept JB, but that's not up to Pards) but I cannot believe we didn't sign a striker. Personally I think we could have done with 2 strikers (all the teams that do well have 3-4 decent strikers, and no Ameobi and Lover don't count!!) so to not even get one is poor.

I am glad the MA hasn't wasted millions on old players who are on high wages and I think its a good policy, and im glad NUFC were not held to ransom by a player that would only come here for massive wages. However that policy falls down when we don't sign anybody!

I heard that Sturidge had a loan fee of £3m and a price of £20m. Now I would have struggled to go to £20m (although looking at recent transfers its probably about right) but come 8.00 pm when nothing has been agreed I would have paid the £3m and got him in on loan. His goals would be the difference between finishing 14th or sneaking into the top 10 which in itself is probably worth £3m.

I can't believe NUFC pay coaches and managers who think Lover and Ameobi are all we need, because lets face it whoever thinks that is an idiot! MA sort yourself out all you had to do in 24hrs is sign a striker, bloody Chelsea signed Meireles in 30 mins!!!!

haven't posted for a while until the window shut , was sick of the speculation and rumours about who we were signing and took a wait and see what happens attitude.
i can only say we've been shafted again.
some people on here will just be happy that no more of our players got flogged at the last minute....
the last day was like deja vu from jan, where we were apparently chucking big money to try and get a striker at the last minute, but couldn,t sign anyone.
so what has happened this window, where we had targets supposedly lined up for sums between 6-8M, didnt get them, but were then prepared to pay over 10M on the last day?
i,m glad we didnt get the likes of bellamy, crouch or even bendtner, but im also sick of the now NUFC patented statement of "we tried but just couldn't get it over the line"

we lost jose and replaced him with santon - a quality prem player with a guy new to the prem (jury out till we see him play a game first)
cabaye for nolan - cabeye looks a quality player and a better engine / passer than nolan, but has to get a few goals
marveux for barton - you know what barton gave you , so marveux (or obertan) has to show the same
ba for carrol - ba has looked poor when started has to improve 100%
we sign yet another keeper - wtf???
ben arfa - excellant player when he's fit and as he's a marked man as such, how many games will we get out of him, as he'll be clobbered every game he plays

we get who we can get, but just cut out the bull**** and i,m expecting the club to start winding us up about looking forward to the next transfer window, as will a lot of people on here who for weeks have said wait till the window closes and see, please don't get sucked in again, you have now seen the way forward for those in charge of our club

Oh shut up, stop moaning about what's happened! We're all disappointed buy it's done with finished. People have different views on this window and you can't change that.
I think we had a decent window.

Barton - replaced by a better player in Cabaye.
Enrique - replaced by Santon who I think will turn out to be world class.
Nolan - didn't need to be replaced as he was strting to lose it anyway, Ben Arfa will be our man.
Carroll - i really think Demba Ba is our next number nine, he's been terrible because of the Ramadan but from what he played like last season he could turn out to be an absolute beast!

In addition to this we have plenty of young guns being brought up to the squad!
So stop being and old grumpy fart and making everyone feel bad when none of us blatantly don't know what's in store for us this season.
Sit down, shut up and watch football.

"To those who say we didn't need a new striker and this window has been "successfull" "

I don't know anyone who has said we don't need a striker, but that doesn't mean this transfer window hasn't been in part successful.

    jesus christ....

lets all be pissed off because we've signed a load of great players for incredible value.

we've not signed a striker but even though what we have is not ideal it was still fairly competetive last year and will be better again when Ba gets up to speed.

some of you really need to get a grip. we talk about signing strikers but of the ones that moved yesterday hardly any would be an improvement on what we have already, crouch, jerome, bendtner...hardly world beaters.
