I honestly think we've got a good player on our hands. Arsenal fans are laughing that he's gone but this is the same set of fans who have witnessed Bergkamp, Henry and Van Persie amongst many other greats in recent years. His wikipedia page says he is 6ft 5 which I didn't know. Could be a bit of a handful. Helmes was my number 1 choice but that seemed to vanish since this morning. Much rather we got Bendtner than waste £10-12mil on a 30+ year old Crouch. He's a decent player and could have worked well alongside Gyan but he had a Spurs price tag and wages which are never good news for clubs looking to buy their players.
Daryl Murphy is better than Samaras. Bendtner could be a great signing as long as he shows committment and consistency. Scores plenty of goals with his heed. Just hope we can get the crosses in.
Watching that you tube clip he does remind me of a certain NQ. I can see why the Arsenal fans might not rate him. He is an old fashioned forward and they seem to only rate you if you have silky skills and walk the ball into the net. Lets see but I think better than £10m on PC
You've got to remember that he's only 23 and he has a lot to prove to Arsenal - I'm not a fan but with that in mind I hope we have signed that player that is willing to put his neck on the line to score goals - has a good scoring record for Arsenal when playing up front as well (about 1 in 2 I believe) Also - whilst I'm not a fan of Loan deals, I believe they are good for us in certain instances (Try before you Buy - bit like test driving a car for a weekend)
Nicklas Bendtner was at loan with bruce at brum but then left after dumping bruces daughter thats going to be awkward
guys i think he will work out for you this year, could get you 15-20 goals and keep you top half finish. Keep the arsenal Board upto date with how he is doing from time to time.
My only dissapointment is that we haven't bought him, if he hits the ground running because he is getting regular games like Welbeck and we haven't got an agreement to buy him at the end of the season we could lose out...again !.
Check out the thread on Bendtner on our board if you think we are all laughing that he has gone. The 2nd best striker at our club behind RvP. I predict he will score 15 goals for you if he plays regularly in the CF role.
