I saw Athletico Madrid concede a penalty for a similar hand ball to that one last night. Hands high, prevents cross is a penalty

Feels weird to be the best side and lose 2-0 but it was always likely we'd struggle to score. Still loads of positives to take from it.

Ozturk isn't one of them but he's third choice at best and likely fourth with Flanagan ahead of him.

Remember we have Sinclair, Wyke, Mcgeady, Watmore, Love, Flanagan and Mcgeouch out. Weve got a wafer thin squad due to injuries, tried to rest a few players and we still havent played bad. Weve had more chances than them.
Imagine how strong well be with a fully fit squad.

Classic case of not taking chances sadly. Unlikely to come up against anyone of Bannan quality this season.

Thought our performance was actually decent, a lot of those lads should hold their heads up after that display, we were the better team, but the scoreline is what matters and at least its something we havent got to focus on anymore, besides i couldn't see us beating wolves after they've bought half the bloody Portuguese national team

Onwards and upwards, that's out the way no injuries (I think) sort Scunny out on Sunday happy days.

Everyone apart from Love would be in our strongest 11 probably. Ive remembered another one 'Mathews'. Thats nearly our full strongest team injured. I think we should take alot of positives.

I thought before the game that if we still play well with the team we put out then it's a cert that Ross is a good manager and we did. He's getting the most out of what he's got, with Grayson, Coleman or Moyes in charge we'd have been shagged tonight.

I thought he was alright, could have done better at times in front of goal but you need players who will get their foot in.

Villa have just paid 4m for Mcgeouch's midfield partner from Hibs and Mcgeouch was rated the better of the 2.
He sits infront of the defence and dictates play. He'll be a massive difference to us when hes fit.
