LU - The day that MG's departure is announced, LU have done what? As the Monty Python crew would exclaim: "SAY NO MORE!" And please, don't try to snow us with the "WH parachute payments" wail. It is clear to me that WH had contingency plans in case SP left and immediately put them into action when he did. And no, going off to support West Ham is not an option for any of us either.
Can see your point but the day's not over yet. Maybe the plan is to let all our competitors in the league buy all the good signings (Beckford etc) and lul them into a false sense of security. We then sign some loanees who aren't interested in the club and can't get into thier 25 man squads. Leeds do business behind closed doors apparently. If they do any business at all. just want a good permanent defender signed before midnight. If not, no ambition and a hope to play in the cahmpionship on the cheap. Was 50/50 about Bates but totally demoralised by today. MOT.

ScottishWhite, time to turn our attention towards those fans who continue to believe Ken Bates is good for Leeds United and its fans. Until they see him for what he is, we have no chance of anything changing soon at Elland Road. Time they also recognized what poor stewards they are of our club. Just look at how other clubs are being run and one can quickly conclude that we are in bad hands.
Well im prepared to nail my colours firmly to the mast. I am firmly in the anti bates camp and regardless what results come our way, i will not budge. I just want to know what the pro batesers see in him anymore or are they happry to see Leeds blundering along the way we are at present
Aye - like Dynamodeano, I was 50/50 about Bates, but it's all looking too transparent now. I can't stomach the way the finest fans in the world are treated any longer. SHOE OFF!!!!
Thanks for sharing with us what happened on Transfer Deadline Day, Simon. Just another few examples of how inept we are. Other clubs don't let players go before they replace them. We just grab the cash.
