As part of the intros, As well as when and why I started supporting Leeds, there’s when and why I started hating the scum.

It was a year or two before I went to watch Leeds, I was about 8 or 9, I went to the house of some of my parents friends, with them. They had a 10 year old nephew (T W A T ALERT) staying with them, visiting from - yes, I kid you not - London.

I knew nothing about football (my school played rugby league and I watched Hunslet) so when he said ‘Leeds have a good football team, don’t they?’ I agreed (we didn’t ). Then he started on the ‘but not as good as Scum are they?’ bollox. To be honest I knew sod all other than I hated the little turd and would always hate scum for the rest of my life. And I always have (oh and later on we played table tennis and I caught him in the face with my bat <laugh> - accidentally, I was not a violent kid.

I was born in Sheffield in 1962...my father was a football fan and started going with his friends to watch Leeds after Don Revie got people noticing Leeds United.
I saw my first game in 1967...Leeds United 2 - Rotherham 1 (League Cup I think and the only time I remember Cooper ever scoring)

Dad said I was too young to see the FA Cup Final of 1970...
But I was there for the Centenary Final of 1972. About level with the edge of the penalty area at the end where Clarke scored.
I was there the following year too - worst day of my life :)

I was also there the day Leeds lost 2-1 to WBA...dad was screaming at the ref and linesman...I tried to get on the pitch like a lot of the fans, dad wouldn't let me.

My Avatar is because it is the club badge of the first ever Leeds United shirt I ever had.
    Thank Dad.

    F*****g Suggett...a mile offside.

Hi to all. I first watched the Whites when Bobby Collins and Alan Peacock played at Elland Rd.I have seen many, many others over the years. I now live in Canada but still enjoy Marching on Together. This team is as good as I've seen for a long, long time. Great to live the dream .

Banishment to Canada is one hell of a ban. These mods have even more power than I realised.
