Good Morning to Matt and co from a slightly sunny Bardsey There were twice as many at ER 19k+ than any other tie last night says it all really we have been bought into his plan I see Norwood missed a penalty for the blades last night and Byram played for Forest in a 3-3 draw Mooted that we will sign another you star from Bury a full back aged 15 Morgan Sadler and by all accounts one that has had scouts from all over watching him How did you watch the game Matt I only had my Moes mobile
Morning all. Got to watch on a great feed pointed out by Elland, many thanks. Good first half, continuation of first two games but not quite as good. Class goal from Bamford and a lovely touch. Total opposite to the German gobshite we had last season. One worry for me was why play Saiz at all? Well soon be at two games a week all the time and dont want to have him suffer same dip in form as last season, whatever the reason was. Were only too aware of the two sides of Saiz. Looking forward to Saturday and hopefully a stream of same quality as last nights
Morning Mike, I heard there was quite a queue at the ticket office that went half way around the car park... Norwood would have only have been a squad player, so not missing out.
Weve been crying out for one for many seasons and I think most of us could see that even if some wanted to believe what we had might turn out ok. Imagine the difference in Bielsa and the hock, opposite ends of the managerial spectrum. One good enough for top end of the PL, the other not fit to coach a pub team. Bielsa will learn though hopefully
Good morning Matt & everyone Yes Saiz is back to his best. He lost his discipline last season with his spitting incident, gobbing off to refs, imaginary hand waving cards & generally being a little prick. Bielsa seems to eradicated many of his antics & probably turned his career around to how he should perform All three young lads Pearce, Harrison & Shackleton showed promise for the future Always thought Bamford would score goals as soon as he signed for Leeds, off the mark on his full debut is a good start A special mention for the much-maligned Phillips, I thought he was outstanding last night, his passing & maturity has improved significantly since the arrival of Marcelo I'm one of Jansson's biggest fans but right now I would stick with the same team that beat Stoke & Derby Sometimes teams have to dig in & play ugly to win games. I suspect Bielsa's first choice XI will continue to play attractive attacking football as that is Marcelo's style of play
Interesting coincidence but did you realise that Jack duckworth used to be a window cleaner and used a bucket on a regular basis
You're really missing the Wallies not being around, filling in with God awful jokes like that, aren't you!
Afternoon Leon, Bamford just looks so comfortable in front of goal, especially if you compare to someone like Ekuban who looked petrified in freont of goal.
I'm prolly in the minority of 1 here, but I believe that with a bit of patience & coaching, Ekuban could fit into this system. We played him up front on his own & like everyone else we tried there, he wasn't up to it. Different system now, & Roofe is benefiting from it. It's not entirely unreasonable to think that Ekuban might thrive too, with the 'one up' pressure off.
