In regards to Philips, if someone said to you name one Leeds player who barring suspensions would be most likely to last the season, would come through unscathed and not looking shattered and tired like they needed a break it would be? My money Philips first Berardi second

Listening to Bielsa's presser, I distinctly got the impression that Shackleton is replacing Ayling tonight as RWB.

He also spoke in glowing terms about Nessi. And not as a CB! I wonder if he's been pencilled in as Phillips deputy (not necessarily tonight). He is a DM by definition, & has played CB very comfortably.

 

I'm suspecting Bielsa is slowly blooding Ideguchi into English and Championship football. He would've liked Ideguchi's performance in the recent U23's. I would not be surprised to see Ideguchi break into the starting 11 sometime in the near future.

 

I asked Popey last night and he said that Ideguchi is a long way down the pecking order and has been discarded from the main group. I suppose his only chance is to play for the U23s and smash it every game which forces to Bielsa to think again. I just cannot see it and expect Ideguchi, LDB, Anita, O'Kane etc to be loaned out in the next couple of weeks. Shame as I expected great things from our Jap
