The methodology of that study was ****ing awful!

We were apparently unlucky overall by a relatively small margin.
How did that translate to their final table? No points difference, but we lost 10 goals.
They decided that anything that they thought was lucky would result in the entire game from that point being simulated repeatedly.
Leicester were deemed lucky for scoring late goals, FFS.

 

We’ve also got the issue of the HIAG v Fosse bet to sort out.

Needs to go to a poll to get the lads to decide whether HIAG changes his avatar at the end of each season LCFC stay up (as he agreed to) or at the end of the 4 year term of the bet.

 

He ain't gonna do either, he's a rotten bumder who gets his Mo Farah on every time he loses a bet.

Do you have a link to the original comment, so that people can judge the context and see who added or removed bits?
It's hard to tell what really happened, if they're just going by that one, honestly.

 

Fosse's bet was the original one, which included the part about every season LCFC staying up HIAG needed to change his avatar. I haven't got a link to that, maybe somebody can dig it out. HIAG agreed to it and then tried to backslide when he realised that part about 'each season'

 

A month every season's a lesser punishment than four in one go, in my opinion.
Having to change your avatar for a period when the site is used far, far less seems like an odd one.
Start at the beginning of the new season and it would be more meaningful. Just an aside.

 

Yep, and it's the bet HIAG agreed to initially. Nobody would propose a bet that the loser didn't have any consequence for 4 years later.

Pix, being the third rate wum that he constantly reminds us he is, added the bit about my doing an avatar change one month a year for 4 years.

In all honesty, and knowing me as you do, do you really think I would take that bet?

 

If the study was done properly and the refs didn't **** up Liverpool would be PL champions.
