Thing is keeper’s make a mistake it’s a goal generally. He didn’t drop Berardi after his clanger against stoke or Douglas for the penalty. i’ve no idea how he handles keepers but if it’s basically you play til you make a mistake then you’re dropped, i’d Find that a bit bizarre. His ethos is encouraging players to be progressive to take chances and risks. Dropping players after a mistake would be to discourage risk taking surely? Dropping them for lack of effort, for failing to fulfil their role or for simply not displaying enough ability, I can see. If your keeper knows a mistake means he’s dropped... you’re not encouraging him to come and take tricky crosses are you? Hey I don’t know if Blackman is better than bpf... i’d Think bpf has enough credit in the bank to ride out one mistake. Guess we’ll see come Rotherham.
Why would some big club come in for him now, we’ve only played two games and he’s proved nothing yet. He was a free agent before he came here so why didn’t a ‘big’ club go in for him then. It’s not like he has turned into a super coach overnight, his rep was there before he joined us. I doubt he would go anyway, he came here for the project not the money.
On Bielsa, I posted on another thread, I think he’s slightly oddball and would not move easily. Also his record, is it good enough for a top 6 Prem team? Don’t know why he’d go to an average prem team, where’s the challenge. And on money, if we keep winning games he presumably could earn as much in the Prem with us as any of the Prem teams not in the Champions a League? BPF - he is a bit of a worry now and then but social media comments are out of order. I’m not fussed about Bolton, but it will be interesting to see who plays and how they do, especially the new signings (who I assume will start). I went on a Rotherham fans board to see what they are saying. Basically the consensus is they need a miracle, don’t have the right players to kick us off the park, but they hope they try to anyway. I mentioned putting 6 past them and the response was they hoped it was only 6, so it’s fair to say their expectations are not high. (IMO it could be trickier than recent results suggest, they may play to frustrate us rather than to outplay us - it will be a different game to our first two).
Interesting interviews with 2 Derby players who said they felt for Lampard as he had a plan to counter Bielsa and knew what to expect. When it kicked off they just couldnt deal with it so stopped doing what they were told to do which made the wheels come of faster.
I was as annoyed with the keepers mistake as anyone else. although it was Coopers foul to set their freekick up. But it's pathetic to have a go at the kid. He didn't do much wrong after that. He knew himself that he had ****ed up, he doesn't need a few keyboard warriors knocking his confidence and especially after only two games..
I hear there might be a Villa in Spain coming up soon on the rental market, although I don't think MODs need apply...
Well said. The milky bars are on you. My advice is don't read the ****e on social media. You won't find many balanced views there just the ramblings of the mentally unhinged on the whole.
