Really poor start to the 1st and 2nd half but last 30 minutes was very good. Hopefully Hughes registers that we were so much better with Gabbi and Ings together and with Mo on the pitch too. 4 at the back vs Everton please! Ratings: McCarthy 7 - kicking poor but great saves from Burnley set-pieces Hoedt 7 - One of his better games for us. Vestergaard 8 - Great in the air, commands things at the back Stephens 7 - Did well at RB, as per Hoedt - seems more comfortable alongside JV Cedric 6 - Meh. Needs more match fitness Bertrand 6.5 - Improved as the game went on Romeu 5 - Gives the ball away far too much. Big season for him - needs to step up Lemina 6 - Not his best game. Armstrong 7.5 - Enjoyed his performance. Not afraid to put his foot in and looked to drive us forward. Touch wood the injury is not too bad Redmond 7 - Got better as it progressed. More positive in the latter stages Austin 6 - Offered little Subs: Gabbi 7 - Much better on the ball than Austin Ings 7.5 - Gave us a lift - needs to start vs Everton Mo 7.5 - Direct and skillful. Looks a very promising signing

We went with a similar MOTM split and agree your other points. Has NR turned a corner? Is is possible to post a vid of Mr PH as you're behind him? You could pretend your viding the game? I'm dying to see him going incandescent

I agree he didn't win everything by a margin, however he did play ok and he is probably just what we needed. Nice to see changes with half hour rather than five or six minutes left. Overall fair result.
I thought Graham Scott and his assistants had an excellent game, he booked Cork at a time when there were a few dodgy tackles creeping in, they got the message. Was that a good penalty shout? I didn't think so at the time.
So the general consensus seems to be we looked much better with Ings on the pitch and with a back four? Everton will be a very different challenge though.
A little fairness for Cedric, he has been recovering from a nasty sounding illness which eliminated him from pre-season. I’ve seen a few comment and I agree that he is a better right back than wing back and I think most of us agree that the team are better or better going forward with a back four
Okay. Got a bit grumbly and ‘here we go again’ in the first half, but the addition of Ings and a new formation led to a much improved second half from the crowd. Strange how what happens on the pitch is mirrored by the crowd.
And there was genuine applause at the end....everyone knew the team had tried all they could despite the score being 0-0

Good. I prefer that to everyone hiding away. Maybe he'll catch the bug and sell off all his other interests. (Although I'd wait for the stock to rise before doing so!)
