They are so much more composed than us. We are really lacking quality on the ball. All we seem to do is aimlessly punt it towards Austin, who is by no means a target man. Really, really poor so far tbh.
Their passing and movement is streets ahead of us, at the moment. Maybe their early start to the season is giving them that edge.
We are getting outplayed, but tbf I feel like Burnley’s play is surprisingly crisp and it’s more then being good than us being bad. On the plus side, I like Armstrong so far. It’s not like we are being destroyed, just having a hard time gaining and controlling possession.
I'm seeing a lot of the same problems as last season. We can't be playing so deep with so little pace in the side, we're just inviting pressure.
Only keeping up through BBC Live. Picking up from the comments, l was watching Wolves vs Everton last night and it worried me how both side could looked so composed on the ball compared to how we played last season. Both were so much better than us from last year. Seems we are not stepped up from last season.
I really don’t think the formation helps - whenever anyone gets on the ball, everyone is behind them with no one available
Brilliant. Even works on my phone. Supposed to be working, probably not too much for next 45 minutes.
Massive distance beteeen our midfield two and forwards, and massive distance between our midfield two and centre backs means we find it hard to break them down and they are finding it easy to fire passes through the lines.
Forget the first 30 I think. Looking much more controlled toward the end of the half. Definitely not looking threatening though, Hughes team talk will need a few expletives.
Lucky not to be after the first 30! Steady improvement after that. Really would love to see Hoedt come off for a more offensive player now. 4 at the back and really go for it
