Erm...perhaps I’ve being doing it wrong all this time....isn’t every player from every team schooled to create chances for their sriker(s) at every opportunity? Isn’t that one of the purposes of the game? Just saying.
Whinging Mourinho says he should be demoted since they wouldn't buy him everyone he wants :https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...rinho-manchester-united-board-forget-the-name Man Utd say okay you're demoted Jose: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/aug/11/manchester-united-director-of-football #thatwentwell
Looks like I’ll have to concede on that one, as the consensus is that my interpretation of that ruling is wrong. Fair enough I’ll take that on the chin. There was no need for your initial abuse though, as I honestly thought I was right there, and wasn’t merely playing devils advocate. Hey ho. Chalk one up fella
Did you notice the free kick was taken from a great position, nowhere near where the foul occurred. With the exception of the red card decision the ref was pretty crap all game I thought.
Yeah it was taken about 5 yards further forwards. Lovely free kick though, but Pickford has to take responsibility as he took a step to his right right at the death and in doing so opened the top corner up for him. Still think the sending off was bloody harsh like, as the striker never had the actual ball! As Jags had miscontrolled it and then had to over stretch to take it off his toe. Pawson is a poor referee imo, and to compound the wum BT had that blurt Walton in the studio, another one who’s ruined many a Saturday afternoon for me
It already looks like the prem is setting its standard early Been saying it for a few years but that standard is atrocious in the league. That study that was done a couple of weeks ago on the luck league indicates that it doesn’t all sort itself over the season - I am not bothered about the top four - as all it did was switch a few positions The real damage was done at the foot as the wrong team went down. The clubs that went down May never recover VAR is needed in the league - totally to reduce these errors. I realise the luck league isn’t exact as many variables are still to be added But what it does show is a lot of vital errors were made
EVERYONE apart from the refs and FA seem to be accountable for everything. only time they cared is when the media make a big enough issue out of something and a ref MAY get demoted to ref a championship game etc to make it look like they have done something. FA, well **** all we can do there, law to themselves sadly lol.
It still affects us massively. With correct referee decisions we would have been 2nd. That means comfortably top 4 and changes our preparation for games in the CL and allows us to develop the squad by giving younger players more chances. Not as bad as relegation but our club is still being hindered by blatantly obvious #bentasfuck decisions and PGMOL's pathetic self-assessment methods guarantee it will continue to happen.
I can understand it, as it still needs work to get the implementation right. So maybe both cups this season will iron it out and they’ll bring it into the PL for next season.
He gave Richarlison a yellow, then for a similar foul on Richarlison never gave a yellow. He lost it from that first yellow IMO. But VAR isn’t in use so you have to take rough with the smooth. Then the FK from where he stopped rolling, mistake again....but what can you do?
Yep. He had a poor game, he always seems like a ref who is unduly affected by the Home crowd, and often looks like a rabbit in the headlights. It’s officials like him who need VAR desperately.
Tbh that study was a bit bollocks. It was about luck rather than wrong decision so: It took things like deflections into account I also believe if something like a pen was not given, they give the pen assume it was scored (I think) and then re-simulate the match rather than using evidence of the events after the match.
they always do when they can be arsed to play for the manager. more a problem with the egos in that squad than the actual talent.
