I think you should take that NW quote with a 'pinch of salt'. I thought the comment about Bellamy agents and the 'Good for him' seemed to me that it was not good news. He said he was back to sort out some deals. AS i said before i expect 1-2 loans in at the last minute.
Just saying Bellamy given clearance by Welsh FA to travel to Liverpool for talks. Didn't really see that one coming off with 'pool in for him, but guess the bench is a step up from here he'll be at Citeh.
He is welcoming the signings we have made already. I think NW may stop at Ferdinand if the Bellamy option is dead. Sadly the Wright-Phillips deal also seems to have gone from dead-cert to 'likely' to just 'possible' in 24 hours so it looks like that may be off also. I think NW has pulled out all the stops but has come up short regarding the really big options unfortunately.
Looks like more and more touted targets are falling away...Bellamy.. Crouch. I think it could only be 2 in now.
NW must be workign hard and I suspect getting slightly less success than he hoped for. Bellamy or Crouch would have been the 'rabbit in the hat' sugnings. It is so wonderful hearing talksport focussing on QPR but I really do hope we get the surprise signing eg Crouch etc.
Looks like Crouch is off to Stoke and Bellamy off to Liverpool. Would have hoped for Ridgewell or Danns along woth Ferdy. SWP is looking less and less likely too.
Come on NW - make some more calls and ask Mittal to splash a bit more cash!! We have to accept that we are an emerging club and players like Crouch might see Stoke as a more secure option. We hoped Joey Barton might be the start of a trickle of better players in. Still, it's not over yet and I am still hoping for a pleasant surprise or two.
