Or maybe he actually did mean get some players in...I'll back that up with how the team has fared in the last few seasons and how MP seems frustrated with the window. But Spurs fans would rather blow constant wind up Levy's arse no matter what he does its like he is beyond criticism.
This will get translated as you want us to go bust and you are ungrateful for what we have got going for us. Bullshit...Levy can **** off if he thinks we are going to be happy running like Arsenal. He's built the Empire, great business Levy...next step ...consider selling up to a footballing man..thanks for the stadium but you are not bothered about building something on the pitch...you're riding on Poch's back.
I know it will. I'm done putting my point across now. I wanna win some stuff. Preferably while we still have this team and not in 2 decades time. Building time is done. We're mostly there. Our time should be now. We mocked the goons for their 4th place trophy for decades while we failed. Don't let us settle for the same thing. 2nd place and 3rd place trophies get the same reward.
We are the first club not to sign anyone in the summer transfer window since it was introduced in 2003. We do love breaking records.
Says it all and shows how much of a clusterfuck this summer has been for Spurs. What happened to the marquee signing to take to the new stadium and truly announce our arrival as one of Europe’s finest? At least next summer will be more eventful because mark my words, Kane, Alli and Eriksen will be off if we don’t win trophies soon.
Presumably that is Prem clubs? But you know what we're doing now is apparently some sort of brave new way. The other 300+ instances of prem clubs in the summer window, not to mention all the others across Europe, knew absolutely nothing
So outside of the Sky 4 and Citeh, which teams other than those I mentioned, and Spurs, have been "in the position to speculate for the title" ?? I make it 49 - 5 - 3 - 1 other candidates for you to potentially put forward.
From the BBC: Luke: Mourinho signed Fred. Guardiola signed Mahrez. Klopp signed Alisson and Keita. Sarri signed Jorginho. Emery signed Leno and Sokratis. Pochettino signed Harry Kane's birthday card.
None, i never said there was. But other teams have speculated for different reasons (eg, to stay in the prem) and haven't gone bust. They'd all fall into my list of teams that have speculated and not gone FUBARed. Plus teams that speculated and got relegated but not gone FUBARed. Plus teams that speculated and achieved nothing and have not gone FUBARed. You can go look at the net spend for the teams for the last 5 years. Find the ones that have spent more than us and then split them into teams that have gone bankrupt (not relegated, that is part and parcel of the game) and ones that haven't. I'm not doing it, i'm at work and i can't be bothered doing such a stupid thing in order to win an internet argument
What happened this summer guys? After Pochetino gave what sounded like an ultimatum, I was sure you were going to splash the cash.
Andre Gomes on loan to Everton. You’re seriously telling me that he wasn’t worth a gamble? His loan fee is a few million euros. Shambles.
I have repeatedly been very specific here. Which clubs (could) have financially speculated with the INTENT TO WIN THE PL, and how they doing on today ?? Based on what I know and am being told, I contend the number of such clubs = 4. Two IMHO have paid a severe price for daring to do so, two have not. Two out of 4 = 50% . 50% is "coin toss" outcome territory. I would not dare to wager all I currently have, personally or professionally, for far greater reward, on the outcome of a coin toss. So I am certainly not going to shout the odds on what a football club should be doing in exactly the same position.
From the TV era? As has been pointed out today is not 15 years ago. Or even 5 years ago. I'm trying to compare apples to apples. You're trying to compare apples to, i dunno, apples that have already broken down and become something else
