Poch has just said in his press conference that we didn't receive a single offer for any player during the transfer window. Are people scared of doing business with Daniel?
could be. Is that a good thing or a bad thing if true? Can't be true though surely United put in a crappy offer for toby?
Levy deserves a lot of credit for a lot of things. Speculating when we had the chance in 2012 and again over the last few seasons is not one of them though
They're in no rush. They know that we'd rather not have the likes of GKN and Janssen being paid a fortune to literally do nothing. So they'll come back on Aug 31st with take-it-or-leave-it paltry offers.
Poch was specifically asked re Toby and he said that he doesnt do personal, but we didnt receive a single offer for anyone. So it was all press speculation and Manure did sweet FA.
could have been well worded. They've probably been throwing numbers at each other all summer but he's right in that there has been no actual offer.
Three consecutive top 3 finishes, and two of them actually being title challengers (right up to week 36 of 38) is no mean feat ... ----------------------O W M
This is the main worry. World class players like Kane, Eriksen, will not stay around forever and end their careers winning nothing. If you want to keep players of that calibre you have to show the commitment to match their aspirations. Otherwise they will go to a club that does- and wins trophies.
And a longer list that dared and achieved or dared and didn't achieve and aren't FUBARed. I'm not content with what we've achieved so far. If you are, then fair play to you
And i've always said i agree with turning to the youngsters IF we believe they're good enough. The only ones i've seen that seem close are Amos and Skipp. Skipp is still incredibly young. We're still short, imo, even with those 2.
What makes me laugh is that you’ve all been speculating for the last year on this thread. Not much fact but plenty of fiction.
