I was just sitting here thinking, "he'd do well somewhere like Watford", then I remembered that Watford are better than us.

Depressing!

 

I definitely wouldn't sell but would be happy enough with a loan if hughes is going to continue with only playing 3 midfielders with no RW/RM

 

A loan to the Championship would be good. Would like to see him at Leeds or somewhere like Derby, but I suspect he won't be keen on stepping down a division.

 

Looking at Watford's team, and specifically midfield, I don't see how his role there would be any different to here.

Very. Going by his use of him when he came in last season (if memory serves).

 

Hughes, Doucoure, Chalobah and Pereyra all good options for them at CM. Then you have Cleverley

 

Everton are apparently sniffing around Kurt Zouma on a loan deal. Given our defensive questions/speed and three at the back, I'd be all over that.

 

Leicester have picked up two very promising CB's for a combined £35m. Some very good business by them.

 

Yeah, they do this thing where they spend part of the huge TV budget they receive every year, like most clubs, because they want to do well.

Sky news saying Watford are interested in taking Ward Prowse on loan.

 

Ah, bless Sky & their "Sources" ... always a day or 2 behind everyone else.

 

It's different in the fact that they said loan, not a full transfer.

 

Wouldn’t make any sense to loan him out, what could we possibly gain from it? Apart from lose the ability to deliver a good set piece for the entire season. If we’re gonna sell him then sell him, but loaning him out just seems a rather pointless exercise to me.

 

Watford are interested in a loan deal for Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse, according to Sky sources.

However, SSN understands the young English midfielder is not available on loan and the Saints will rebuff any such advances for the player. (Sky)

 

Only logic would be to get him 30 games or so at PL level of he is going to be a regular there and not here. I mean lots of people have said he needs game time to develop so if the club thinks that’s true then why not loan him out if a PL team would guarantee him games?
