I think release clauses work in a funny way like the players pays to get out of then contract then the buying clubs pay the player. Might be wrong though
That's how I understand it. Neymar for example paid his release clause to Barca and then PSG paid Neymar the £200m, in theory. What will actually happen is the buying club will loan the player the money in order to make it look like they player 'bought' himself out of the contract. Frankly its ridiculous
