Lets see if I can get off to a good start today, make or break time. In the opening race of the afternoon, 2.00 Ripon I really fancy DAME GLADYS. I think there are 2 or 3 that can win this but DG has the plum draw in stall 12. Two runs have yielded a second and a win. Shes had a 87 day break and is stepping up from 5f to 6f and goes on the ground. She is currently 7/2 third fav.

    Carlisle 7.45
    Jacob Black 3/1

From a yorkshire based trainer, his strike rate for tips he sends me is about 5 from 10.

Sorry, been out, but don't think I missed any this afternoon.

    Curragh 5.20 LANDLINE 10/1 Betbright L

    Carlisle 7.15 C.MAGNIFIQUE 16/1 generally. 2nd 14/1

Usual 1 pt e/w, plus doing e/w double at 1/10th singles unit stakes this time.

    hi fellas!

    newton abbot,5 25

well, another tough bumper,as most of these are,and virtually no form to go on.ESSGEE NICS,though, might go well here, because his rookie trainer has made a bright start to his career, and could have yet another winner today..

not a bad debut effort, until he got rid of his rider...

    windsor,6 00

also not easy, but DAWN AFFAIR shaped with some promise on her debut in 5th,and the winner didnt run too badly in far better races the next twice,so i expect some improvement today..

Cadeau Magnifique went from being last of the 14 runners 2 furlongs out to being 2nd at the line, and if the race had been 50 yards or so longer it would almost certainly have won. Very striking late run.

1/4 odds the place for first 3, 5 pts returned 1 pt profit on the day for the singles

A friend gave me pastoral music hoping blinkers work a miracle drifting like a barge but I backed it any way
