Another season approaches and Gills have made quite a few signings mainly in Midfield. On paper does not look any stronger than last season. Only postive is that the signings have mostly been young so should have more energy. With young players they could end up being gems or they could end up in the reserves. Again no stand out signings and hardly any money spent.
So could be another struggle hopefully not. If we finish above 10th be very surprised so therefore say 12th

I think we will finish in league 1, trouble is will we start in league 1 for 2019/20 season.

I'll put my neck on the line and say we'll finish in the top 12.

We appear to have more strength in depth than last season and from Mr Lovell's comments last night at the Q&A he might be trying to get another one or two on loan to complete the squad.

I will go for my usual prediction of the top 24 as I've been right the last 2 seasons that way. <cheers>

Top 12 however is where we should be hoping to finish.

With a bit more stability and manager that had been in charge pre-season a strong 10th and a good FA cup game against Chelsea (which we will lose of course), for some reason I think a few more clean sheets this time round.

3rd favourites to be relegated on bet365.
16th - could be a tough league this time.

Of course I am cheating having seen our first result... but it does not change my prediction (honest!)

    14th.

Strong start, flirt with the play-offs, then fade towards the end. Will be a pleasing season I reckon, without the relegation anxiety of the last two. That's about as optimistic as I get!
