Agree with your point but if performances suffer because we are selling our best players then surely attendances will dip as well...
Attendances don’t really make much difference to QPRs cash flow. Last bit of parachute cash this year I think, then things get really tough.
None of us really know anything about the mechanics behind a transfer deal or who has responsibility for any element. I don't believe for one minute Les does the numbers bit, if there is blame it would be a collective blame.
I don’t feel the club has progressed since he’s been DOF. For starters you’d think he’d be able to identify a striker. Chris Ramsey was his mate - that didn’t work out.
Its beyond me what Ferdinand and Hoos have to do for some fans to understand the financial facts of life for this club.
With all due respect that just seems crazy to me. Off the pitch we've made huge improvement as a club. We are slowly becoming a properly run and more importantly a sustainable entity.
I still don't get why people bang on about selling Charlie for £4m. He was in the last 6 months of his contract, what do people expect!? They'd be the same people moaning if he'd gone at the beginning of the season citing 'no ambition'. For all of the poor decisions Fernandes has made, I agree with this one.
Good read. Gives some context re Smithies and Ollie's departure. https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr...of-qprs-summer/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
There is a hell of a lot of sense in that article. It's where we are as a club. We have to take the medicine no matter how awfull it taste.
Exactly. Austin was a gamble where we kept him at the start of the season (I seem to recall Leicester offering a load of money) to see if he could help us bounce straight back up. That wasn't going to happen and he was going for nothing 6 months later so we got what we could when his preferred club came knocking. Smithies, at 3 million, seemed a touch low for his value to us but we are a lower mid Championship club. I don't think fees for goalkeepers from teams that finish where we do would be that high unless they have higher league experience. Freeman hasn't gone yet so we can hardly berate anyone for the fee he hasn't yet commanded.
Think it has to be taken in context Ferdinand made the statement at the beginning of that season that we didn't/wouldn't sell players cheap with high prices put on Austin, Fer, Phillips etc which largely meant was gambling on keeping players & gaining automatic promotion. At the same time Ferdinand was influential in the appointments of CR then JFH who were not up to the task of delivery promotion & the end result there was no promotion & players going for far lower fees than would have got at the beginning of the season resulting in 10-15m or possibly more in reduced fees. So at the end of the day SLF has to take his share of blame for our current predicament alongside the rest of the management & managers. Looking forward there has been some good work done off the field but we are left gambling on finding/developing youngsters & hoping to hold on long enough to generate reasonable fees just to maintain the status quo & if we're lucky we might have a season in the future when can challenge for promotion but are more likely to have relegation battles &/or mid‑table obscurity on the horizon.
He is just an asset In a calamity of bad business headed by TF and this has to go down as one the worse business stories of all time. It maybe that the better players know this I would think of my career first as all players are embedded with this
Trent Sainsbury is now a free agent, so could join us, however they are saying that PSV are also showing interest in signing him.....so you would think we’ve got no chance
We are in the deepest **** of the club’s history and to cap it all we now play in pink I have had no comms with L Hoos Seriously Pink after all the good work But I guess it matters not what kit we wear anymore! We could be remembered for the worse run club in football history
Pink looks good DT...and you are right it matters not what we wear anyhow. Our club is now we'll run after the horrors of the last 7 years...And doing the best we can...we have young keen players...we have a plan.. It will all be okay Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
