Just when you think Lee Bowyer hasn’t got enough on his plate....a monthly contract....12 fit players for Sunderland...and now Forster-Caskey’s injury ....up out of his crypt pops Richard Wiseman from CAST. There are no excuses for these comments. He was interviewed as the Trust Chair, knew it, but let his mouth run away with him. Nobody but nobody is interested in Wiseman’s pompous moralising about something Bowyer did over 20 years ago, at a time when the Club is on its arse and CAST can’t organise a bunk up in a brass house with a £50 note in their hand. Personally, I am sick of these pompous self important old windbags with their back stories and halos, polluting this Club. We need two Richards out of this club. Murray AND Wiseman. His comment below ...
CAST are the 'sweat rash' of CAFC.... they have no role... it seems they are run by egotists who want to be seen as 'Players' when it comes to running #CAFC but are in fact no more influential than parliamentary committees (all talk and no action!)…. I am sure that Bowjackson will not lose any sleep over these comments. Rather than CAST attacking the Manager perhaps they should look to themselves and ask why they have appointed Mr Dutton to their Board rather than wait to see if he is elected in a few months time?... What's the rush?
Rich Pemberton should resign from CAST as well. “Bowyer shows none of these behaviours at the moment” Another smear from the Guardian-reading geriatric left wing turds that so dominate CAST.
Not606 is a forum of healthy discussion, including respectful disagreement, no? I can't find anything about this in any correspondence from CASTrust I haven't found them to be egotists when I've met them, and if Dutton has been appointed to any position I won't renew in May. The whole point of the Trust is that it must be democratic. Wiseman was re-elected unopposed at the AGM, therefore he's the best we've got. In principle I'm in favour of a strong supporters Trust, which is why I joined, because everyone who joins makes it a tiny bit stronger. I asked Royston whether he opposed the trust in principle, or because he didn't like the people who run it, and am still waiting for an answer. The reasonit's not influential is because of the comparatively small number of members, so who do you blame, the fans who join, or the ones who don't?
The idea of appointing anyone to what should be a democratic fans body should be an anathema to anyone. Wiseman’s comments about Bowyer were supremely stupid at a time when the manager is working on a nil-by-mouth contract - I would have though “fans” would be getting behind him ? My main issue with CAST is not motor mouth Wiseman ...more that they are absolutely useless. Their most recent interview this year with Murray being a totemic example.
Criticism like this would have more force if it came from within. So you are not against the Trust in principle?
30-40 years ago a Trust might have had a place. Given the money in football, and the way that ownership models have changed, not now. Peashooters & elephants spring to mind. We have had 12 years and 3 owners of utter destruction - what has CAST done in that time? They are still arselicking Murray, even now!
Just been reading about his appointment, and have e-mailed my feelings to CASTrust in my usual euphemistic way.
If you are Chair of an organisation and you make a comment like he made you should be made to fall on your sword.
The "savaged by a dead sheep" Sir Geoffrey or the one who ruthlessly got rid of a PM who had won 3 General Elections?
