Understable reaction but....
He was playing (mostly) alongside the flaky Jack Stephens whose contributions to man-marking, defensive heading and positional play did him (Hoedt) no favours at all!
Earned his stripes in Italy (where defending is an art form!) and got into the Dutch national side. He is young, will develop and will, of course, make the odd rickett but his left sided contributions alongside the big (more competent) Vestergaard should gel and, I believe, give some solidity to MH's chosen backline.

 

There's certainly a case to be made for most of them, which is why I said last night I'm intrigued to see who Hughes goes for.

The Hull board is the busiest quite comfortably, would say here is slightly quieter than it has been in the past but it's all swings and roundabouts.

I actually think the board has been at its best in ages over the last 6 months or so.

But who would post that often?

 

I tend to respond to posts as I come across them.

The Maya of four years ago was error prone when not match-fit and it was obvious largely because he was only playing occasional matches. The current Maya is not the same.

Players change and improve (and sometimes get worse). Fans need to look with a fresh eye rather than seeing players through their preconceptions.
