I love flying. I worked for an airline for a while and that got rid of any little doubts that creep into your mind. When your on a plane every day you soon start to trust them and the other crew. The training they all go through is intense and they really are prepared for any situation. Sitting with the pilots for take off or landing, particularly into certain airports is an incredible experience. On landing it looks like you're just flying into the ground! In terms of seat belts and the brace position they are both for your safety, not for identifying your remains! You're far more likely to have a smaller issue that is helped by seat belts and bracing than to fly into a mountain and be obliterated. Oh and check where your nearest exit is when flying, if there is a problem that results in evacuating the plane a big issue can be idiots going for the wrong doors. If you don't like flight attendants trying to sell you stuff then don't fly with a low cost airline, its how they are able to provide the seats so cheaply. And the crew at least at the airline I worked for get a commission on sales which helps top up there wage, so have a snack or buy some perfume!!
Cabin crew or flight attendant... so yes. Did a summer for a laugh and for the cheap travel in my early twenties. It was a fantastic job to do for a while, great experience... and fit birds.
