Yep, I share those feelings too. However, you seem to have missed my original (initial) point that was agrreeing with a fellow poster that (we) I am puzzled by those who seem to prefer dropping out of the Prem; on the off chance that they might see more victories and the like.
Certainly hasn't worked out that way in the past too well.

 

Yep as much I enjoyed the lower leagues (and I would say that in over 40 years a Saints fan they were the best), I don't want to risk it. They were only so enjoyable as we were on the way up...going down from 2005-2009 wasn't so much fun if I remember....

Agree in general, but you have to lose a few for winning to feel good. Winning 37 matches and losing one would just be silly, but winning 25 and losing 10 would be fab.

 

But wouldn't Saints winning 37 matches and winning the PL be even more fab?

 

Yes, for the first few seasons we did it. After that it might get boring!
