Saints have extended the £5 tickets for kids going to the Burnley game. Sounds like nowhere near a sell out. The good thing is that it is a chance for youngsters to experience the joy of being a Saints fan. #sarcasmmode
The problem with the early August fixtures is that so many people are on holiday. So even the £5 tickets won't work as those kids are on holiday with their big kids. I'm wondering what sort of a turnout there will be tonight - tickets were free to ST holders, still reckon only about 7-8,000 though
Whereas I have no kids of a school age, so get my holiday done early when it is cheap and there are no screaming brats around. Sorry for that outburst...I am sure I should have been cast in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Looked at ticket availability...there are scattered seats for the Burnley game. You could get a ticket easily but they are a bit random. As expected, loads of seats for the friendlies.
I’m going tonight, but probably wouldn’t have if it weren't for free tickets. Looking forward to seeing the new boys!
Twenty is plenty was the campaign but the clubs/league only agreed to do 30 for the time being. No idea whether it's still being pushed or not. Palace is a great little away day, my first this year will probably be one of Liverpool or Wolves.
Just realised I've not had my season tickets through the post yet, and only about 10 days to the new season starting. Has anyone received their STs yet?
Nope not yet. When I bought my shirt in the shop last night, I told them my customer number and asked for the 10% season ticket discount. The girl said they can't tell from my customer number, and did I have the email from the club to prove I had bought my season ticket. I looked, couldn't find it, but then showed my Celta Vigo ticket with cost: £0.00 on it and said it is only free to season ticket holders. Two other people later I got my £5 off. That started a bit of a to do in the shop as then everyone wanted their 10% off
Membership cards (which tickets are uploaded to) won't be sent out till the end of August.....so I was sent a paper ticket for Burnley. Why? Was the start of the season a secret?
We need to employ more of those young foreign workers from the EU. They are quick, polite and they work their bollocks off. On the other hand we could employ local kids who will not get out of bed until three in the afternoon, will expect top wages because they "are worth it" and then will spend all the time they are at work on their smart phones texting inane crap to their friends who are still at home in bed.
