Every Pharma company, from the big ‘innovative’ ones like mine to the generics giants like Teva, have plenty to be ashamed of. But the small make it in a bath generics firms are the worst, from price fixing, gouging, Patent infringement, tender rigging to quality control. Teva was about to launch a product which it actually developed itself, but it’s been delayed because their Indian plant failed a quality inspection. We actually have the US to thank for this, any company which wants to sell stuff there (and it’s the most lucrative market) has to meet both quality and ethical standards, everywhere in the world. They conduct lots of unannounced inspections not only of manufacturing but also of commercial operations and hand out very big fines - $3bn for our very own GSK the biggest so far.
Corbyn has been getting it in the neck about anti semitism from his enemies in and out of the Labour Party, and now his friends are joining in too. Something rotten in the state of Denmark......might be too late for him to lance this particular boil now, though of course he will corner the anti Semitic vote. You can’t really blame his enemies for using any means available to damage him, that’s, apparently, politics. It’s very noticeable that the Labour machine, which was the most powerful around for 15 years from the mid nineties, is now incapable of fighting back as everyone is too busy fighting each other and history’s ****test government gets a free ride from the opposition as a result. This is what you get when you put an agitprop, slogan driven politician who’s world view has been set in stone since the early seventies and who has studiously avoided running anything or being accountable for anything in charge of an organisation.
Just heard on the news that Sanofi (one of the three big insulin makers) and Astra Zeneca are already stockpiling drugs in the UK, whether or not the government has asked them to. As this is a pretty unproductive use of resource for hard arsed commercial machines to undertake on a whim, I guess they think they really need to do it. What a ridiculous situation to be in during peace time.
There was civil unrest when my local U.K. town of my birth lost water for a day a few days back ... Rich Range Rover types we’re buying up pallets of bottled water and those on a different water system had their homes invaded . Couple that with a recent chicken problem at KFC ... What chance would rationing have ? Police forces nationwide run on a skeleton basis to keep law and order I guarantee if there was a shortage of baby wipes there will be civil unrest Watch the nation blame culture peak new levels then People can’t even queue for this mornings flight without hassle worry and anxiety Here we go back into the mix Still have me Porsche waiting Get out of my ****ing way I am coming through
There's quite an interesting if frivolous analogy with 1939. Autumn approaches and Theresa "Chamberlain" May makes one more attempt at appeasement in the face of intransigence from across the English Channel. It is all in vain and with the Blitzkrieg of WTO rules approaching, the country looks to a leader that will take them through the crisis of transition. Step forward Boris "Winston" Johnson (who incidentally is currently favourite to replace May when she falls on, or is thrown onto, her sword). Boris takes us forward into sunlit uplands (so long as detail is left to his minions)...
We’re doomed......!! It’s like 1999 when all those planes came crashing out of the sky and all computers came crashing down...it was like the end of the world !!! The panic...the disorder....the chaos.....!!
People are welcoming the potential of BORIS JOHNSON as Prime Minister. That's it - we're officially screwed.
After a nice swim in the Med I have come back for a rest and watching Sky. They are at it again... Out with 'project fear' and in with project 'let's try and scare the 2222 out of everyone'. They have got access to the information from councils and basically we are all doomed. Funnily the councils were for Dover,Wales,Shetland... Not one bit of anything positive until a counselor came on with a cool head and said 'we would adapt'. Oh no they are now interviewing ex-pats and their concerns! Not one person who said they are not worried. I like balanced news They are really going at it now. It's time for a pina colada
Since Eamonn Holmes left and they replaced with the awful Sarah Jane mee the whole morning show has gone down the pan. She is hopeless and asks such stupid questions. Right off to the shops...I don't know why I keep going to hot countries when I don't like the heat bloody too hot for me. I reckon I may go to Iceland next year.
Agree 100%. Sky are really pushing hard against Brexit. It's relentless. Yesterday, after their own poll, they were calling for a referendum with 3 questions - stay in the EU, leave on Chequers or leave on WTO. They were certain Stay in the EU would win. Bloody right, because they've split the Leave vote. Tossers!
Spot on mate. It actually wants me to leave even more when I listen to the propaganda they dish out. Rather than dividing people they should try and have a balanced argument. I listen to all views from all sides, I may not agree but I find all the views interesting (except Owen Jones who is a tw2t). Sky certainly has some sort of agenda. As for the 3 question referendum? Do they really think people are that stupid? There are trying to scare us with food shortages, Medicans, traffic jams at ports, councils...I wonder what they will bring up next.... shortage of water and no football on Saturday's.
Sweat it out the benefits will give you an extra ten years I am back in Blighty and people are complaining of the severe heat at Blackfriars The secret is to keep those shutters shut My Mrs opens the windows and shutters Once the heat is indoors then it’s goodnight Irene
Well, one advantage we have if there is no deal and citizens rights aren’t sorted out. Loads more hostages than the EU.
If the EU are so decent and worth having as friends then they would never weaponise people. I think they will all be fine on all sides.
