i dont think so-i think a more apt question would be "will we score as many?". Leeds showed last season we score goals for fun, and luckily, plenty of different players chip in, Howson, Snoddy, Becchio, Sam, Nunez and McCormack to name a few. The problem as we all kno is that we cant defend, and when that is the case, you need to make sure you score more than you conceed. So whilst I dont think the goals will dry up, I 'm worried we wont score enough without him to keep our heads above water, whilst our leaky defence does its best to drown us!
Now he's gone I think we might score 10 to 15 less than last season, based on what he contributed and how well I think Sam/Nunez/Loanee would step in. Very worrying indeed.
Only rumours I've seen are Clingan from Coventry and Paynter to Brighton/Coventry. Doubt either of them will come off. No doubt the loan window will get its first mentions from Bates in his Yorkshire Radio interview at 1.00.
If we end up in the loan market again i will ****ing scream!! Sick of seeing players who have come here on loan and done **** all, bar Lichaj! Hes out for 4 months with a hip injury. All ill say is the **** has hit the fan, with the leeds supporters and i think bates will be public enemy no 1 come the home game against palace
We never scored enough goals or conceded too many for a promotion last season. This season we are leaking too many so we need to score more than last season, we might have done so with Gradel and Nunez adding from midfield now you have to wonder where the 15 extra goals are going to come from without Max. Okay Nunez might get them but it will only be on par with last season minus Somma and Becchio at present due to injury.
