I dont know what the heck is going on but it seems that SGE is bidding for any and everyone and getting knocked back, he is coming across as increasingly desperate and the club are being made to look stupid. I cant believe some of the players that he is bidding on, for instance that unknown ( to me anyway) from rangers and why the hell would we want AJ from fulham, just swallow some pride and get the YAK back (This is what I think will happen anyway,on loan), he was not my favourite player cos he is a lazy so and so but you have to hand it to him his record is good, he is something different to our current crop of strikers, he knows where the back of the net is.

We are only a joke if we end up with Anichebe or Jerome. If we end up with Maynard and Kebe they can laugh all they want.
It's only right we should be bidding on a number of players. Clearly Maynard has been our number 1 target but what if we don't get him then what? We need to consider other targets of the same calibre. SGE or the club have not really said the names we have made bids on, most likely half the names mentioned are probably just paper talk. Also the fact some may not be household names to us does not mean they no good, the Rangers striker is very highly rated. It's only natural fans will have very narrow perceptions when identifying player targets as we will always think within our comfort zone. We have to trust in SGE that he will bring in the players who will take us to the next level.
We aren't a joke. I think the worst mistake we made in the window was to announce to anyone that we had money to spend because everyone tries to hike up the prices. I think Sven came out the day after and said that the owners were wrong to announce that as well. Sven has a list of targets and is merely working through that list. It's not like we're plucking strikers names out of hats then bidding £6 million for them.

Well you never know Emilo, looks like we could be getting Kebe & Beckford today. When PL teams announce their squads tomorrow I can see another striker coming on loan to us.
im just glad that we havnt blown £6m on an injured striker who will be available for free in a few months
