WEELLLL how do you think we did?
MAX O,LEARY ….. I think is a work in progress, a few wayward kicks amongst a few good ones, had the bottle to come out, which worked a couple of times, but needs to improve "rushed kicks" although inter passing from within the pen area to clear the ball was quite good ...mostly.
Positioning for corners and defending them probably 6+ /10.
OVERALL 7/10
MO …. IN HIS SHORT PERIOD OF TIME he didn't seem fazed, some fancy moves and seems to know what direction the goal is, on 2 occasions could maybe have beaten his man and shot? /passed
overall 7+/10
EROS … thought he was over doing it a bit getting up field? but was good with what he did /when. could leave us a bit exposed if we don't have a defence that covers for these moves?

PACK … 9/10 CANT FAULT A LOT, IF ANYTHING

JOE .. played his usual game, safety first subbing … peeps might not want to buy a damaged player to start the season with!? .. Bournemouth????
newbies, rest of they all fitted in and did a good job wheezer looks a good buy 7/10's
Famara, was quite impressive but got the impression he needs an assistant? [short time he was on maybe tried to do to much?? (running about for the ball and defending?) ] 7/10
Walsh looked like he will settle, seemed to be capable but stood still on a few occasssions before moving which meant he had to "rush into or get to a position" this meant he was then quickly closed down?
prospects for the season? WELL I think it will be no worse than last season, we could have a more spread season results wise rather pile up the points to start then tail off!
I think 7th to 9th is do able … my prediction in the league positions table is 6th and will stay for now

 

Didn’t see the game . Is max ready ? , because Radio Bristol have just said Frankie is out for 12 weeks! .
I expect an announcement about a new keeper this week, even once Frankie is fit I think we need someone, and I’m not a Feeling Frankie basher. We either need someone better with their distribution to help us play out from the back better, or at the very least someone of a similar level to Frankie for competition.
Anyone heard anything suggesting a signing is imminent?.

 

Watched the highlights and it looked like an evenly matched pacy game. There might have been a hint of offside for our goal but the build up was very good.
Excellent cross from Niclas very nearly led to a second goal. Have to say NE looked good.

he was very much better than last year, seemed cooler and more aware, he had a couple of good passes /crosses and will link very well with MO methinks
max is young keen and aware but lacks game time at this level, not to say he wont do a good job, depends on the defence. Assuming last years defence was 10 [ arbitrary figure ] From what I have seen this season we start on about an 8 …….
how we line up will be key ……. in 7 games time we could easily be 2 up front and 2 wingers ! 4 across the back? leaves just 2 for midfield?????

 

tbh went to the match a little worried, not expecting too much. But, i must say, after the game finished felt a lot happier. The speed , pass and move was there again ( as last year until dec and the cup run) was very impressed with us overall.
I dont want to get carried away, but things look good for this season, i still think that top ten after all the changes , losing some of our spine of the team would be a good result. But this could be a great young team to build on if we can keep them all for a few years that is!

i must admit i wasnt a fan of NE, but he looked really good. Eisa looked sharp when he came on too. Weisman made some brilliant runs in behind, but no one saw them unfortunately, but he could click really well if he gets the proper supply. Webster looked good and well settled already.
