One question. I know **** all about Joe Bryan, other than he's a Championship player. At £6m why aren't clubs queuing up for him. Could it be that he's overpriced. Another Lazaar on the horizon. Not as good as Dummett by any stretch of the imagination?. Money would be better spent where its needed.
Yet slagged off by most when he did play consistently. Hopefully whoever comes in will be better and its almost certain they will be a better fit.
Bryan is a solid full back. Nothing special but a solid full back non the less. At 6m. I do wonder why we ain’t just doing the deal!
You sound hopeful. Judging how Mike has fleeced other clubs on outgoings - Liverpool and Tottenham spring immediately to mind, I can well believe that the fee may end up being £27million. Supposedly £22million basic.
I imagine that the 'fee' will include extra money for events such as us winning the Premier League & qualifying for the Champion's League. I can believe the basic amount was £22m, but I fully expect that the deal for the extra £6m includes spreading the payments over a lengthy period of time. Ashley is all about shoring up his future cashflow to avoid having to pump any more money in.
**** Rafa, absolute fool. Rather he just walked instead of dismantling our squad before he leaves next summer.
Strange the other day we would only go 16m and Newcastle wanted 18m now we are paying 22m+ that I can’t see
You're pinning your hopes/beliefs soley upon newspaper rumour. Smart. It may not be the case, but I can believe the £22million fee that SkySports are now quoting because it seems realistic based upon previous form from MA. Furthermore, SkySports are often his mouthpiece and MA is highly unlikely to want to inflate the figures - he wont want fans expecting extra spending. Better evidence than blindly believing newspaper conjecture.
I heard on tne radio today from a football agent, he said don’t believe what you hear from sky or papers, I tnink we paid 20m max, it makes Ashley look good, we are happy if he was 22m, he is only 23 so good Sell on value, both teams win,he won’t be prolific, but brings players into play etc
I genuinely hope he scores a bucket load for you (except when playing us) as I've been banging his drum and like being proved right
Have to say I think he’d be a great signing. Perfect option to complement Dummett. Very attacking, much better quality on the ball but not as good defensively as Dummett (not many are to be fair). A more modern full back. Absolute bargain as contract is running down. We could do with cover in the right too. Weirdly Mbabu would have been the ideal foil to Yedlin on the right. We need to shift Manquillo on - he’s just poor.
I admit my knowledge of English football is next to zero (my only attempt at watching live NUFC was back in 2007, I bought a ticket to a league game with Birmingham - which we lost- but I had banked on travelling from Bergen where I was student on scholarship and on a cheap boat/ferry ticket and ended up missing it altogether on account of the travel agent mixing my name to someone's else). I would have thought fans would be provided with a platform to contribute their views on how the club should be ran (and if I was an owner of a club would have worked better for me as happy fans would help my investment work better). So; how do we ensure our opinions are heard? Where I live people don't understand me supporting NUFC as every other person will invariably support Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea (the last two as of the past few years when they started winning something).
Just post them on here. As long as they agree with Freedors views he will pass them straight on to his Dad.
