Now De Vries is hauling Norris in. It's dry now so it's time for McLarens other man to show his stuff. Cracking F2 race

I wonder if it is partially due to the Renault PU? I wonder if it is a bit more difficult to 'feed' in the power? Maybe the drivability is not there so trying to be gentle on the throttle coming out of the corners is tricky?

Did Vettel have a problem? If not he needs to step up.

Mistakes in races, beaten by Hamilton in tricky conditions today in what looks like a slower car here.

He’s not showing himself to be the quickest driver out there are the moment, and if he wants to win the championship he’s got to up his game.

Tell me how a team getting a 1-2 means they have a slower car? during the dry sessions it was only Hamilton that was adrift, Bottas was less than .1 behind Vettel.

    Vettel is an idiot.

This championship should already be over, how many races has he ****ed up now?clearly fastest car ends up 4th. Oops

Much depends on conditions tomorrow but vettel is far more likely to cock something up.

First 3 races he should have had a 25 point gap saved up. Hamilton's dnf should have been 50 points min lead... then German gp...

It's got to the point where it's mistakes I'm watching for not wheel to wheel racing.

Kimi was set for pole until he got traffic. I hope tomorrow's dry, the much better Ferraris will be all over the Mercs

All Alonso can give to McLaren now is sarcasm and whinging. When was the last time he said anything positive? A lot of drivers aren't where they want to be but they tow the team line and try an encourage

Poor show from him and disrespectful to everyone who works at McLaren. Just like first time at McLaren and then Ferrari, when he goes there won't be many shedding a tear for him. If he can't be bothered anymore, go elsewhere and let the next new talent his seat.

While it may be demoralising for him, he did sign up again for this year. Surely someone with his experience knows that the previous issues were not just Honda problems?
They pay him enough for him to stay professional in public no matter what the issues are.
Then again he does have a reputation for dividing teams!

Given the drivers McLaren have in their academy I can't see why they she'll out multi millions for a driver who wants to retire the car every other race.

It’s hilarious. All the hate that Hamilton gets when he moans, but when Alonso, Vettel and Kimi do it, it’s either funny or shrugged at.

So much irrational dislike for Hamilton, I just don’t get it.

Expecting Lewis to make another poor start tomorrow but will Seb make a hash of getting past? Valtteri is a good starter and seems keen to show he can compete against Lewis but somehow always loses out to Vettel. Hope there's some decent action tomorrow not just at the start after such an exciting quali but not holding my breath.

Vettel will wipe Kimi and Bottas at the start leaving Ham to have a clear win as he is #Blessed
