I think there is going to be a post mortem.
But probably best to wait for the official announcement which I believe to be today

I think the Times have double counted £20m there. The debt conversion is just to pay the fine surely?

I think that’s to make sure that the club and not the owners is saddled with that debt.

Believe it I’d say. I’d be amazed if The Times got it wrong. Interesting that it was put up on its website at a minute past midnight.

If there’s any silver lining, this should be the end of people asking why we aren’t spending £5m on strikers with poor scoring records in their late twenties.

Brings to a conclusion 3-4 years of reckless spending by board, various managers and Chief Finance Officer...…..hard lesson to learn from....

Plus it shows what a good job Hoos and Ferdinand have been doing.....

Probably a result to what was first issued, hope to see some signings soon, but what a drag this has taken.

That's the key point. I just hope TF and RG have a 10 to 15 year plan that will help them recoup their losses.

What supporters need to understand is that IF the loss for last season was circas £15 million (a figure I plucked from thin air & just as an illustration) that would give us a combined loss of £23 million going into this season. Thus we would need to keep the loss for 2018/19 to less than £16 million to stay within FFP. If the loss for 2017/18 was £20 million, we would have a target of a loss less than £11 million to make!

Therefore, we still have no money to spend on transfers & need to cut costs a lot more!

IMO our owners have come out of this dispute a lot more favourably than they deserved.

So we have 2 weeks to do all of our transfer business for the whole season? Seems mad there hasn't been more activity if that's the case.

I think Terry’s post explains why. I don’t think we will buy without selling and we have a big enough squad as it is. One in, at least one out. Want a striker - Washington and/or Sylla have to go, even for free, to get them off the payroll.

    https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-qpr-ffp-questions-answered

The FFP situation is finally over! At least one of my expectations for the new season has been very quickly achieved. :)

It seems to be a compromisie solution which looks very harsh on QPR, but very much better than the applicaton of the original rules.

I am glad it is over and am glad that we have a board that is prepared to foot the bill for their earlier mistakes. Now we can focus on our new future without this millstone around our neck.

Now get the missing central defender on board and roll on the first game of the new season. COYR's!!!!

    At least it’s now settled.

It’s a lot of money, but a lot less than the original fine. The transfer ban in Jan is only an issue if we pick up long term injuries and can’t fill the position from reserves.

Interesting to read the last point about capitalising £21 million plus. I want to get a better understanding of that bit cos I reckon it’s goint to be the most important part of the deal, and say more about the attitude and meaning of EFL than the rest.

In his interview, Hoos says that the embargo is not a total ban on incoming players, we can sign U23s (but not play them til the following season -he used Smyth as an example) and if we sell a player we can replace them with a free signing but their salary will be capped at 75% of the outgoing player
