Compare the animated reaction of the crowd to the sedate ones nowadays. All enthusiasm driven out by the Allams.

I wouldn't want any City legends to come back and play under our current ****wit owners.

It'd be nice if Ash gave Ehab a jolly good talking to, mind.

Fraiser Campbell c2008, Ian Ashbee or Bobby Koren. Short in all 3 of those positions. Also, because he's ****ing ace, Maguire can go on the shortlist too.

Actually edit.....Hernandez would be #1 without a doubt, a fit Hernandez is a goal machine at this level

A younger sober Dean Windass plz .. reason Campbell scored the goals he did in 2008 was because of that man's guile. Just what we need right now .. someone capable of creating things and also scoring a fèw as well.

I'm tempted to say Jimmy Bullard for the entertainment value, but we all know how quickly such entertainment value wears off.

So my vote is . . . . Matty Fryatt.

We got the very best of him that season. He has done nothing much since. And I very much doubt that will change.

    Jay Jay Okocha,
Probably the most skilful player ever to pull on a city shirt.

Too ageist the OP. Old farts like me can't remember the last 10 years...but vividly recall 50 years ago.
    Open it up.
    Chris Chilton without a doubt.
If we could pick 4 players, it would be Chilton (hardest working City footballer I've ever seen, and could score goals from anywhere with any part of his body ), Houghton ( smartest creative City player),
Wagstaff ( sharpest I've ever seen in the box) and Ian Butler (wizard on the flank).
I never actually saw Ashbee play live - he was injured every time I returned home to watch City during his tenure, so I would chose Simpkin as an add in for his tenacity and policeman/inspiration role).

We wouldn't need a defence with that lot.

    Hernandez for his goals

Also as an old git my choice would be to bring Boothferry Park back 1970 version.

Can I have different bits of different players?

    Maguire's head
    Geovanni's feet
    Myhill's hands
    Ashbee's heart
    Jimmy Bullard's haircut
