Well, it started as a reply to one comment posted on the thread which was then picked up by someone else who got the reference and was then continued by even more contributors who were in on the "joke". It became it's own song lyric tribute, more of a thread within a thread if you get my drift, whereby one member tries to out-do another with their knowledge of the song lyrics in the hope that such knowledge would be appreciated by others. In a slight twist I tried to reference another song from the same artist in an attempt to both show that I got the initial joke and was prepared to include other material from the band's oeuvre. To Cut A Long Story Short, it's a Spandau Ballet thing.

The good ole US of A has a judicial system and execution can be an outcome of that system. So if these fellows go through a fair trial and are found guilty by a jury of their peers and the sentence is death then so be it. This country should not bring back capital punishment . Why would we need to anyway when we have the daft yanks to do our dirty work.
