    Good Morning Everyone

Pontus Jansson has returned to Thorp Arch after international duty with Sweden.

Lets hope he can make a big difference under Bielsa.

Leeds are charged an average of £25,000 for policing on match days, more than any other Yorkshire club, new figures show.

The cost of policing Championship matches at Elland Road is nearly identical to the cost at nearby Premier League club Huddersfield Town, at about £34,500 per home game.

But the Whites pay nearly three-quarters of this cost while the Terriers pay less than half, because of the rules surrounding how clubs are billed.

Leeds United paid 74 per cent of its bill for the first six months of the season, while Huddersfield Town contributed 44 per cent and Bradford City just 16 per cent. It means, per spectator at an average match, the Whites paid 78p towards policing while the Terriers paid 63p and the Bantams paid just 7p. Leeds United paid a higher proportion of its policing bill than any Yorkshire club.

West Yorkshire Police said the discrepancies were due to the different policing requirements of matches.

Mr Foster said: “A category C match which is classed as high risk, for example, will require a higher police presence than a Category A which has a lower risk threshold.

“In terms of what it charges clubs, West Yorkshire Police follows an established national protocol of charging for the deployment of officers within an agreed ‘footprint’ of land owned, leased or controlled by the club.

Each club has a different sized footprint, affecting the number of officers required to police it, which means the cost of policing for clubs can vary.”

The most expensive fixture at Elland Road was the January match against Millwall, which cost £67,433 to police.

Leeds Utd are to refund subscribers who have bought the pre season LUTV matches after a flurry of complaints about the quality and coverage.

As a result the televisised friendlies against Oxford United, Guiseley and Las Palmas have been scrapped.

Radrizzani blamed the issues on a change to the “method of broadcasting”.

In a statement, the club said: “Following feedback from our supporters, the club would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any issues experienced on LUTV during our opening pre-season friendly games.

“Unfortunately we have encountered sporadic technical problems with the suppliers we have used to broadcast our pre-season fixtures.

“The method of broadcasting these ties is different to how we have successfully streamed games internationally during the 2017-18 season and we will be returning to these methods from the start of the new campaign.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey
Clearly shocked at the news of Mr Ed a great footballer and a clean one as well.Had to retire because Mike Robinson elbowed him viciously in his eye
A few years later I was on a boat with Robinson and Souness and I asked him about the incident. As I thought Paul Hart had been giving him a rough time so when he went up for the ball he thought it was Hart and he let rip said he never got over it and I believed him
We still no nearer getting 2 strikers and a CB I hope they sell Saiz to get some money in along with selling Roofe but clearly something is wrong with recruiting I do hope they haven't left it too late because Bielsa can't make wine out of water!
I hope I am wrong about Roberts because I fear he will not play again this year

    Morning all...

Can’t comment on policing as I don’t know enough but we probably had larger crowds which equals more income so shouldn’t complain. What do we take for a home game, close to £1m? 2.5% on policing doesn’t seem bad.

Is anyone here still not worried about the lack of signings? Even the rumours have dried up, well all apart from one, Jerry still thinks he might sign.

Good point, Rads wage bill has gone down, but we as a team will only benefit from re-investment. unless the new gaffer is the messiah we are hoping he is!

Leeds 8/15 to finish outside the top 6! That should just about cover a season ticket and some therapy sessions to boot!

Probably main reason I can’t drum up any interest in Leeds PLC or whatever it is now. I grew up on a diet of Giles Bremner Madeley etc and that’s the club I fell in love with. It’s a million miles away from what it is now. Foreign owners who never heard of the club a couple of years ago, a bunch of joe average footballers lining their pockets and a fan base more than happy to settle for mediocrity it would seem

    Morning Eire,
Good to see you back, my sentiments as well, unfortunate the younger element on here don't fully understand what they have missed.
Today it's all money money money.
Mr Radrizani is just another money grabbing playboy, but he will sooner or later come unstuck and everything will go belly up, got to be a reason why he is picking up all these tv rights that nobody else wants.
