I do agree that we should be over the Mitro move by now. That’s really not indicative of the Ashley cancer, don’t confuse the two.

He’s really not that good and Rafa just won’t play him.

The problem is... Mitro could go... then Rafa...and we are left with neither...

If we have to sell to buy then Mitro HAS to go. He is our only serious saleable asset.

Why is ours the only club where the Manager’s contract expiring controls the transfer policy?

In fact why is ours the only club where it actually makes news? Most clubs they are either fired long before they expire or they are just naturally extended aa when you have a manager who is doing well you move heaven and earth to maje sure he stays.

I don't get the Mitro 'love in' to be honest. He is a reasonable striker and no more and there isn't exactly a queue of PL clubs squabbling to buy him, is there? If Rafa wanted shot and 3 - 4 PL clubs were fighting over him i would perhaps question Rafa's thought process.

I predict that he will go to Fulham and do very little and the £20m we get will seem like a decent return, even if it is dribs and drabs. I said that i thought he had 'found his level' when on loan last season, and i stand by that.

It is who we spend that money on that concerns me far more than Mitro leaving ................ and the fact that all of our other strikers are dog ****!!

He's 23. Merino is 22. Mbemba is 23. Armstrong is 21 I think. None of them are the finished article granted but they are all good young players. Why are we shipping them all out? Merino and Mbemba especially have massive potential. Pathetic really, and for once I don't fully blame fat face

    I do not...

Took Brighton to choke in the Championship for us to win it with the most expensive squad ever assembled at that level. We finished 10th instead of 13th (where I expected that squad to finish) by 2 points and a hefty goal difference of -8, 15th by 4 points and 17th by 8 points. The football he plays doesn't set the world alight and he's losing our best young prospects hand over fist for peanuts to replace them with the likes of Condom.

Despise Ashley but don't love Rafa like some. Don't get me wrong he has done a reasonable job and the reason the fans love him is because he says the right things to the press and stayed when he could have easily walked which I respect but some things he does just baffle me.

Rafa Benitez is probably the best manager we'll ever have, so if you've feel that he's done nothing more than a reasonable job, then you must brace yourself to bear a lifetime of unfullfillment.
Ashley's focus is SD. We're merely an advertising tool. Ashley has no will to see this club achieve anything, except splash his slogans on the world's screens, with the bonus to bring in TV money that he back pockets.

This is our lot as far as I can see.

Haven't you answered your own question there? They're decent players, and they're not going to put up with another season of sitting on the bench, at best.

If we weren't shipping out Merino and Mbemba, they'd be putting in transfer requests, as they want 1st team football.

Armstrong is a very different case, on fire in 3rd tier with Coventry, then struggled in the championship for the next 2 years (1 goal in 20 games for Bolton), and back into the 3rd tier after that. Unfortunately he won't be Prem standard.

Rafa clearly doesn't like Mitro sadly, I'd want to hang on, and I'd certainly rather have him than bloody Rondon, but it ain't happening.

I wouldn’t own up to that - I get picked on just for coming from Manchester.

In other news, Stoke have signed Ince for........ £10 million from Huddersfield!

    2 points on this:

    1) They have now spent more money than we have (again).
    2) This means we most likely will not be selling Rich Tea!

I can't see that. We will get a Klopp, Pochettino type etc someday. We won't always have such a disloyal **** playing boring football.

Sorry but Armstrong did well in the Championship. You have to realise he played right wing for most of it. I think he will be PL standard, it just won't be with us as we don't give a chance to our youth players. Well Pardew did give Dummett a chance. Hughton have Carroll one. Both richly rewarded us. Aside from that though we're far too busy whining about transfer windows.
