My post, like almost all my posts, was written with tongue firmly in cheek - I'm afraid to say I take nothing to do with Hull City seriously. Just for the record, (on a rare serious note) Campbell is still a class act and will have a big say whether we stay up or not.
4 in 29 in a free scoring side says Dicko went to the same school for strikers as Altidore, Graham, Proschwitz and Sagbo. Campbell missed a couple of sitters (which probably would have had him in double figures) but you can tell he's got quality. Has a good head on his shoulders, a good touch and his contribution has always been above what Dicko has offered, we always looked a lot better when Fraizer was playing. Dicko's touch is poor, his movement is poor, he loses the ball 95% of the time he gets it and spends more time on his arse than he does on his feet.
How much did Hernandez cost? And how much would an athletic Jon Parkin cost? That's the problem really. Nicklas Bender might be available in our budget?
Sky's transfer listing on the sports news channel showed Newcastle transferring C. Smith to Hull. Have I missed Something?
Lower league versions or loan options are available. It depends how much our owners want to stay in the Championship or not. We certainly won’t score enough goals with our current options. Donaldson signed by Bolton was also signed on a free - he would have been useful in that role.
James Smailes @James_Smailes #hcafc boss Nigel Adkins not giving much away on club's interest in Chelsea winger Brandon Barker. Oops
Why won't we score enough goals? Bolton survived with about 38 didn't they? The whole team has to chip in. If Campbell gets the service he'll score. So will Dicko. Bowen scores goals.
Bolton had Madine for most of the season. It’s ok saying ‘Chip in’ saying and doing are two different things entirely. I’m fairly happy that we have made signings, albeit the quality is still largely unknown, there just aren’t enough goals in that team in my opinion. We’ll likely concede a few, as is the Hull City way (that’s not a criticism) we just have too many players new to the club.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Nigel Adkins confirms #hcafc have had bids for Oliver Norwood, Jiri Skalak and Conor Townsend all rejected. Unclear what happens next.
Ehab: Nigel it’s ehab, those wonderful chaps at Brighton have rejected our offer. Their reply was “are you taking the piss”. So I’m assuming they thought our offer was to high, so I’m putting together a lower offer. We’ve got them on the ropes here Nige I’m going in for the kill Nige: I’m really positive about them accepting a lower offer, control the controlables ehab!!
