I'd say it's more complex. Firstly Raylor has been receiving a lot of support from Jonas. Secondly, Raylor backs off just as much as Simpson, but when they actually tackle a player, Simpson is better at it and when he is the last man he will do that. Simpson is also quicker than Raylor and showed v Fulham he can take a man on. I wouldnt be upset if Raylor started at RB, just like him better in midfield and like having him on the bench able to cover 5 positions if needed.

Wouldn't mind him there but we have Obertan and Marvo who can both play there... but I'll like to see him! Quality crosses guaranteed!

If Raylor and Simpson are our future then I do worry. Santon is a sensational signing, how the **** have we managed it?

Raylor has scored 2 free kicks, great goals and he has played really well but it does paper over the cracks that in the long run, he just isn't good enough to be constantly in the first team.

Neither is the long term solution (Simpson could still improve, but 24 now), but we do need to decide who is the short term solution? Til January at minimum.

I think the benefits of Raylor vs his cons, against the same for Simmo see's Raylor edge it for me, anytime we get a free kick near the box I can full well see him smacking it in the back of the net, this is something so many teams don't have. His free kicks are actually deadly! nearly had 1 against fulham, a foot in it. His defending is on a par with Simmo, maybe doesnt have the athleticism to get up and down the way simmo does, and then he's a bit older meaning simmo can improve..

If Cabaye turns out to be class at free kicks i may re-think the situation...
