Leeds fans have matured quite a bit over the years, we have even won awards for our hospitality, but the issue with Bates appears to me to be getting close to boiling point and someone may take things further. I wonder if Bates knows the real feelings among the vast majority of the Leeds supporters and if he really does, whether he will avoid Elland Road during match days now?
Unfortunately recent protests seem to gathered only about three hundred according to most reports. Out of a crowd of 25000, thats hardly a huge protest. Dont get me wrong, id love to see the full 25000 stand outside Elland road and protest against the old bastard but most dont seem to have the same beliefs as us few
Irish, when was the last time you saw Bates & Gaddafi at the same time? You never know. They could be one & the same!!! That said, the original post has a point. I was at the Southampton game & our case wasn't helped by OB going walkabout. But the atmosphere in the stands wasn't nice. Grayson appreciated the support he was getting from the crowd, but the abuse being hurled at Bates was threatening & unpleasant then, nevermind what it might be now that Max has gone. Me thinks the next match will be interesting, but not half as interesting as the crowd reaction. Let's hope it doesn't turn nasty.
They where always going to quote, although I wasnt part of the protest I could see with my eyes it was more like 3000 than 300!
