Gooch has already pledged his future to us but Honeyman has apparently asked to leave which i find very disappointing from a self confessed fan of the team whos dream has always been to play for us. On a side note Mcgeady and McManaman have both verbally commited to us today aswell.
Certainly was, but for the injury, Maja's season may have eclipsed Asoro's, I enjoyed seeing them play together and had high hopes for both of them, but it seemed to me that Coleman rarely if ever played them together as a combination, preferring the Boro lad his starting line ups, with Maja stuck on the bench, even when we needed to start winning games, late substitutions would be like for like , instead of playing an extra man up front to try and snatch points which at times were there for the taking. At the end he seemed to be shell shocked and clueless, rabbit in headlights comes to mind..
Shame about Honeymans crap attitude, after one average to good season, he wants away, and looked subdued in last night's highlights, what does a manager have to do to satisfy some of these these players, when you think of a true great like the late Stan Anderson, and compare his attitude to Georges it makes you want to weep. As for the other two I cant bring myself to think that they are doing it for our sake, its up to them to convince me I am wrong, which I hope they do of course.
Yes true mate. I forgot about Coleman continually overlooking him towards the end of the season in favour of Fletcher. I hope he gets on tbe scoresheet soon this pre season because the longer it takes for him to break his duck the harder it will get.
That's a shame about Honeyman. Ross giving him the armband for these friendlies might, just might work but its a longshot. Would be a shame to see him go. Great news about Gooch though! I hadn't heard that so really pleased about that. And the 2 Mac's as well? Maybe they're seeing and buying into how Ross wants them to play this season. Promising, all very promising on the face of it.
Got to the game last night so though I'd come on here and share a few of my thoughts from last nights game. McGeouch looks like a real good player, always seemed to have time on the ball, sees a pass and was always showing for the ball giving the player in possession an option Maguire doesn't look like a centre forward but he showed some good touches, linked up play nicely in the final third and was full of running. Flanagan looked a solid all around defender and was a calming influence at the back. Gooch and McManaman were both great out wide getting at their full backs at every opportunity. Stryek had a steady game, didn't have much to do but looked confident commanding his area and looked to get the ball out quickly. The young lads that came on in the second half all showed some decent touches but the game was petering out by then once all of the subs were being made. Generally we played quite well and if we sign a couple of strikers I think this team will score goals, we kept possession well and were always looking to attack them, particularly down the wings.
No worries mate, I had planned on posting what I thought about the game last night but I got stuck at the in-laws on the way back from the match
Honeyman agent has said he wants to leave. Same **** stirrer agent as Cattermole. If he had a **** attitude, would Ross play him or give him the armband ? I wouldn't have thought so
Thing is if the kids happy why the **** does he let his agent start **** it’s getting on my ****ing tits now.
**** knows mate. I'd love to see a player/agent contract, to see how much freedom an agent has to do /say what they like.
The more I'm hearing about agent the more I'm thinking she said her clients want to leave without even consulting them. Bet Honeyman would be happy to stay and Catts will know there's big chance he'll have no takers hence his good behaviour pre season.
Catts and good behaviour? Heavy favourites with the bookies!! Have we slipped into the Twilight Zone?
According to SD he was back on time for training and Jack Ross can't fault his attitude. Doesn't stop him being **** of course
Surely the FA must be getting concerned. Agents will assume more power and mess players and clubs around the more they are allowed to do as they wish. Ultimately they are going to spoil the FA's product.
Isn't this agent a certain Miss Maggie Byrne, who has proved more of a drain on our resources than JR, but still bites the hand that fed her so well.
