News from CL is that the Club has changed its policy so tickets bought online and printed at home no longer have the £1.50 fee applied to them. A new video has been posted on the OS (Valley pass members only I think) explaining how to buy tickets. The video apparently says that print-at-home is not subject to the fee. A remarkable change in about 12 hours. Either the fee was never supposed to be on the print-at-home tickets in the first place (an error) or the Club has already received enough feedback from supporters since this morning to persuade it that another change was necessary. Either way it's good news for supporters who prefer to buy tickets online and print them at home.
Charlton being linked with a short term deal for ex England keeper Rob Green. Has he been released by Leeds @Chippy / Glory ? Can’t see it myself, unless he is willing to play for lunch money.
This was posted on Twitter. Out Amos Dasilva Zyro Kaikai Kashi Konsa Lennon Injured: Clarke Dijksteel Vetokele Reeves Retired: Jackson In: Taylor And we have fans ****ing over a kit! Only at #Cafc
Bowyer sounds very downbeat at the moment. It can’t be easy trying to put together a threadbare squad of freebies, while on a monthly contract yourself. Unless something spectacular happens from Down Under before the weekend, this has been yet another wasted summer and pre season, with an already weak squad being further depleted. Not sure than Amos, da Silva and Konsa have been replaced yet ? A small deluded minority headed by BexleyBoy are claiming that we will turn the corner when the crocks come back - like Reeves, Igor and Clarke did wonders for us last season Also worth pointing out that both of our full backs are crocks as well - Solly & Page. It’s only a matter of time before either or both are injured again. No cover there, either....
Lee Bowyer has also admitted (in so many words) that Darren Pratley is not match fit. LB has specifically said Pratley will not play against Sunderland. Whether Pratley will feature against Shrewsbury is not known. http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/...arren-pratley-ruled-out-of-sunderland-opener/ "It’s just the football, he’s going to be rusty with the ball. So he won’t be playing against Sunderland. He’s got to catch up and get himself ready." Darren Pratley is a hugely experienced footballer. He started in 10 of the last 13 league games last season for Bolton. Why should he be more rusty with the ball than any other player after a summer break? This is one of the problems with signing players very late in the summer, players who may have been released by their clubs many weeks earlier. Some of those players won't have kept themselves properly fit. They will be behind the rest of their new team-mates and they end up missing early matches in the season. Whether Darren Pratley emerges as a key player in Charlton's 2018-19 season remains to be seen. But if he is not match-fit for a massive televised opening game against Sunderland (and possibly not our first home game against Shrewsbury either) then how many more of the signings Charlton have not even made yet are also going to be too "rusty with the ball" to include in our August fixtures? Worst case scenario is that Charlton may have to face Sunderland and Shrewsbury with the players we have now - minus any who might pick up injuries in our remaining pre-season friendlies.
They are clearly the wrong sort of multiple owners, even if they do eventually scrape the money together. I also suspect they will be highly intolerant of long term fan's dissent.
My take is this. Rolf parades around The Valley thinking it is all signed and sealed. Dushitelet f**** around with the ex directors 7mill pay off. There is a 'discovery' of a potential problem left by Jiminez and Slater, Dushitelet unaware of. Rolf and gang wait for problem/s to get sorted. Aside from that I still think things are very fishy.
