What is this Sword? Many people say this. It is weapon no? Must be English joke.

I love British humours. My Papa used to watching comedy show with West Ham man. Alfie Garnetts! My Papa love him. He hate darkie living door beside! He also make fun of Jew.

The humours now? It is gone. People from College get job in BBC and all they wanted is PC every hour. You must not say that you must not say this. You will create anger <yikes>

Also lots of homosexual. Homosexual everywhere. Like those two guys Judy and the Richard. I thinking to get job on BBC now you must allergy??? to womans Picka!

UK running to the dogs. Need strong leader to restore orders. Strong man like Mr Borris. He make Britain great again.

I don't think the way a group of protesters looks or behaves (either photo, for either issue) has any relevance to the merits of the issue they support. The way they look or behave is a separate thing and should be judged separately.

For example, the facts about Tommy Robinsons case are the facts. How his supporters look and act has nothing to do with it.

Anyone want to explain why I'm wrong? I seem to be fairly out of kilter with the way some people view the world and justify their point of view. I'd like the chance to understand their perspective a bit better.

Justine Greening has proposed that there should be a further referendum on the EU with three options:

    Leave With No Deal
    Leave With May's Chequers Proposal
    Stay In

As we on here reflected the result of the initial referendum so accurately, I thought it would be interesting to see how this one might turn out.

Just for fun, no need for arguments.

If they are so law-abiding and harmless why do they need to cover their faces? I saw the news report regarding both marches on sky yesterday and it was only the anti-fascists that had their faces covered, why?
I won't stick up for any group but I will ask the question why do they need to cover their faces?

Good call, let’s contain the arguing on the politics thread.

Though I think she wants a preferential voting system, first and second choices.

I still do not understand all this single market, customs union, rule book, irish border bollocks, people had no idea what they were voting for except some mad thoughts about strsight cucumbers and no immigrants.
Oh yeah and our own fishing rights which actually put less in the coffers than Harrods did last year.
We need to stay in to give our kids a better chznce and oppotunities in the future.

I'd guess they're planning on breaking the law if they get the chance. Ask the Daily Mail. The photo was on their website. Or maybe they don't want to be identified and "persuaded" to change their views in an alleyway by the other lot when they're walking about on their own later. You tell me.

Tell me something else, if you don't mind. What has that got to do with the merits of the issue they're protesting about? I get the idea it does (for you), because that's the impression you leave through your posts - but I don't understand why it does. After all, if you estimate that 99% of the protestors in any demo, anywhere, on any issue, were not covering their faces or intending to break the law, why deny them the respect of considering their issue just because 1% are tossers.

Trust me, Ellers, I'm trying to walk a mile in your shoes here, not win an argument.

Yes she does, and that's the only way it could work really. Don't think this site can handle that, though.

My understanding is that many people voted Leave with the aim of reducing immigration as one of the major desires.

Good news, in the case of migration from the EU it’s working. 240,000 EU Nationals came to the UK last year, but 140,000 left, a net migration of 100,000 a big drop on previous years. And this is even before we have ‘taken back control’! Less of them are coming and more are leaving because they don’t want to be here. All you have to do is make the UK a less economically and socially attractive place to be and you don’t have to pass any laws!

The bad news is that non EU migration to the UK, you know the ones we have always had control over, is rising, a net 227,000 last year. These people are obviously coming from really bad places, or their multinationals are paying them a packet, to still want to come.

The stated aim of Theresa May’s government is still to get overall net inward migration to less than 100,000. Despite the brave attempt to do this by sending the Windrush Generation back to where they came from, if the government can’t even influence what it claims to control, and which the PM has had direct responsibility for for the last eight years, why ****ing bother?

Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated?

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Elements of this post are tongue in cheek. It is not intended as a criticism of those who voted leave in the belief/hope that it would reduce immigration, whatever my personal opinion on this issue might be. It is intended as a criticism of what is probably the most inept, incompetent, spineless and crap government I can recall. And .that includes those of Heath and Callaghan.
