Belgium are very good. A lost opportunity for them, this WC. Just the beginning for us.

 

There's always a 3rd place play off for the bronze medal....why would they stop doing it after all these years?

 

I enjoyed the game. A chance to get a better look at both sides, even if there was nothing much at stake.

Belgium showed their quality. England showed where they need to improve. Not a wasted afternoon in my opinion.

 

Said 3-0. Panned out as I thought. Nice that Kane has the golden boot in the bag, because if anyone had been breathing down his neck the past three games he would have gifted it to them!

Yep. Hard to rest the talisman though, but he could have done with being pulled against Croatia. But people would have went mental. History now......and he has made it for the team and himself.

 

Wonder how much Chelsea would want for RLC. Really, really rate him. Would love it if we could convince him this is the place to be for game time and development. (Extremely unlikely but he’s just made a hint about wanting games)

Without wishing to pick, that is only one game and one half since Sweden. Most people thought that one game was a bad performance.

 

He's good, but he is not scoring 3 or 4 goals tomorrow.

I beg to differ. The most likely way from a world cup semi is down. The Euros will be a much truer test as the general standard in Europe is higher. There will be no Panama to polish the turd.

Is there something inaccurate in what I said or do you expect a higher position than a semi at the Euros? I genuinely need to see us do it against a good team before I will get carried away.

 

You do tend to look at the negative side of things Spacedsaint, don’t you? No matter how we did it, we reached the semi-final o the World Cup. That’s an achievement
