So Sterling. Yes he makes good runs. Yes, that creates space for others. Forgive me if I’m being to critical here but isn’t that the bare minimum that we should expect from an England player? Is it really to much to ask for a final ball, a killer pass, the right decision or a good finish? What’s the point in having the former if you’re so poor at the latter?
to play devils advocate everyone & his dog is moaning about the lack of forward passing by our MF (such as it was) but part of the problem was the lack of movement from Kane,Alli & Lingard to make themselves available which is why nearly all forward passes were to Sterling since he did the work to make himself available. The problem was lack of end product though again i thought other players didn't do enough to make themselves available / pull defenders away for Sterling when he had the ball.
He's made to look better than he is with the right players ar City. His true quality is shown in an English Jersey with a 0 return in a full world cup tournament. People defending him by saying he troubles opposing teams by getting in the right areas. Isn't he suppose to assist or score?
Suarez improved everybody that season. What a player he was for us. Talk about a player who worked his socks off, stretched defences and made it easy for others. Unfortunately (for England), perhaps fortunately for us, he learnt f#ck all from Suarez at that time.
Lucky ****s offso no golden boot. Couple handy pens and a pure fluke deflection v the worst team in comp decides destination of thd golden boot.
