I think you should be looking at our club rather than the quality of kids in the stable...........here`s an example>>>I work with a fella who`s son played for Swansea from the age of 9>>>>he became the welsh captain for the under twenty one`s and was looking like making moves into the first team>>>>>then Swansea spent 5million of jon jo fking shelvey and he jumped in front of the line for the starting position purely 2 justifying the money spent.......now lee and jo jo had many a match against each other and lee always won the battle between the pair of them.........lee eventually went out on loan 2 Scotland but his love for the game and his confidence was shot>>>>>>lee was a free agent last season and couldn't find a club, whilst jo jo has fkd off and his currently mugging some other mug off as we speak.

anyone taking offence shouldn't because its my opinion and im fking entitled 2 it if you like it or not...........think its called the old fashioned term "free speech"

No problem with freedom of speech Aber. That's what makes the forum work.

However I'm not obliged to agree with you and vice versa. I can't make any comment about your mate's son as I have no knowledge of the circumstances but lots of youngsters don't get to live their dreams for a variety of circumstances.

If is unfortunate but it is a fact of life.

Apparently, the Welsh colony in patagonia was established by Welsh exiles looking to preserve the Welsh culture from the English oppression in the mid to late 1800s.
I was taught about the abolishing of Welsh being spoken in schools and other put downs of the Celtic languages - more pure and older than English.

Saying that, not sure of the purity of bloodlines for most of us. My dad's side of the family is from Anglesey, my mam's side were Cornish tin miners (maybe from England, but true Brits driven South West as the Welsh and Scottish were driven North and west).

Cornish (A resurgent language) is similar to Welsh (though I think they're Ice cream advert is crap).
They even established meibion carno an activist party in line with meibion Glyn dwr.

I'm not anti English though, despite disliking the impact of the government and crown on Welsh history.

Hoping for a France v England final.

France do look odds on now to win the WC but they were versus Portugal in the Euros final on their home turf with Ronaldo injured as well.

My Jones family were all Welsh speakers (taught to read and write by the Baptist chapel) until my grandfather, when it was thought by his parents and many like them that he could get a better job if he spoke English now a few generations down it is thought you can get a better job if you speak both English and Welsh. Strange how things change.

My mother hails from Newport in Pembrokeshire, when she arrived in Tynewydd (to live with her aunt) due to the death of her parents she was only able to speak Welsh and was castigated at school because of this. She was only 5 or 6 and had to learn Saesneg pretty quickly - As Dai said strange how things change and the ability to speak Welsh seems to open more doors these days.

England look more likely to extend their lead than Croatia are to equalise.

Would have preferred an England v France final and it should have been had Southgate not sat on a 1-0 lead. He should get mullered by the press for that but he won’t as he’s not Graham Taylor.

Croatia had the best players, their right back, Modric and Peresevic. Sterling again like a headless chicken. Walker better at full back as wasted otherwise. Kane had a night to forget.

Look forward to the final; France must be favourites.

Then full total devotion to the countdown to Bournemouth away.
