Exactly this. Could, probably should, have been home and dry at half time.

 

Croatia deserve it. England have been second best since half time.

 

Lacked a little experience, but hold your heads high.
Proud, and gutted.

 

That was disappointing, we managed to turn into old England in the second half and extra time. Forgot how to retain the ball, forgot how to shoot and forgot how to defend.
Ah well, fun whilst it lasted

 

Croatia deserved that, better side on the night. England did well overall though

 

Hope france absolutely smash Croatia to pieces.

England perhaps should have been home and dry, but there's no shame in losing to Croatia. They've been one of the most talented teams in the world for a good decade, and finally seem to have been able to steel their nerve in tough situations.

 

The first half was pretty even, don’t think England should’ve been 3/4 up at half time

 

Why are you insulting them? They didn't do a Colombia. They wasted time but every single team would do that in the situation. They are a very good team and play football the right way.

 

Disappointing after the first half performance but as it went on it looked like it was only going one way. Brilliant effort to get this far.

So who do I pick France or Lovren? Bloody hell it's going to have to be France.

 

Gutted, but the better team won on the day.
I hope that Croatia win it now they stopped England playing and imposed their game on us rather than the other way around.
Very proud of the overall tournament and hope for the future with this young squad.

 

Its coming home.... in four years.

 

This is just the beginning. I think we over achieved if we are honest...helped by circumstances....but that is how competitions work. Nothing to be ashamed of...now let's move on to 2020.

Croatia's achievement with a population of only 4 million is immense and slagging them is churlish and smacks of sour grapes to me.

 

We go again. Proud of England this tournement, can’t say I’ve ever felt that before. Could’ve won, but we didn’t. Maybe a couple better centre mids and we’d be comfortably in the final. Bring on the Euro’s.
