Michael Bailey@michaeljbailey Angus Gunn really is joining Southampton from Manchester City. Only personal terms to be sorted I believe, for a fee north of £13m. #ncfc Norwich City definitely have a sell-on in that, from the tribunal agreement back in 2011. So let’s assume, say, 20pc. That’s £2.5m+ #ncfc are getting, which is a complete bonus. No one expected it or budgeted for it.
Stewart Lewis on MFW seems very positive re us signing JR on loan!! http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...here-jordan-i-hope-the-pleasure-will-be-ours/
Simple answer Dave - NEVER. I FULLY expect him to be part of the next World Cup Squad #youheardithearfirst
I'm warming to our new players, some seen for the first time last night. "McLean exudes poise and possesses a sweet left foot that could do damage if given time and space in the right areas. His sweetly struck free kick to open the scoring four minutes from the interval was a thing of beauty, arcing over the wall and past the motionless Josh Vickers. Farke slotted Alex Tettey behind the Scot and Moritz Leitner, with Felix Passlack and Marco Steipermann adding drive and dynamism in wider areas." Leitner is clearly the focal point, this time in a 3-1-4-2 formation with Godfrey as RCB (as DH suggested) and Pukki and Srbeny up front. Hopefully this focus on attack will continue into the season with the attacking options we now have. McLean and Leitner (and later Vrancic) will have a key role in linking with the attack, supported by the WBs. Rhodes made 2 assists and Pukki and Hernandez will also offer more threat up front as well. This suggests a much more dynamic approach this season balanced by solid defence and DM cover and I'm already looking forward to the new season. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/canaries-lincoln-city-pre-season-friendly-report-1-5600853
Interesting analysis of Pukki's play last night in the Pink'un: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/pukki-player-watch-1-5600865 It seems clear that both he and Rhodes will offer a more all round approach than that of Oliveira last season. His key pass made McLean's goal possible (a sort of assist) and Rhodes provided the assists for the last two goals (not the selfish striker we were told to expect). That neither favours the sole striker role suggests that we should see at least two up front most of the time.
I'm going to reserve judgement on Rhodes, really pisses me off how a lot of City 'fans' are writing him off already I bet Mr Finbow AKA Superman is made up about this deal, I would ask for his opinion but he's blocked me on Twitter because I dared to disagree with his views on Brexit, that bloke really is well and truly stuck up his own arse
I don't mind him tbf, I agree with most what he says. I did notice him getting in a bit of an argument with Huckerby on twitter though.
He gets in arguments with quite a few and throws his toys out of the pram if anyone disagrees with a word he says. I was battling with him and Tony_Munky on Twitter when he just blocked me rather than argue against me. To be fair Munky hasn't blocked me as yet but give it time he's cut from the same cloth, they both openly claim that I'm the reason they no longer post on here at least Munky does. Ironic that I rarely post on here myself these days actually.
